Oh the Packers love their over-rated Edge guys. Now you've got him and Rashan Gary trying to make up for the loss of Aaron Rodgers. Good luck. If I was Jaire Alexander, I might be asking my agent to request a trade some time early next week.
The news stories from back then noted that he left the scene and returned about an hour later. Secondary reports picked up that he left the scene and that morphed into the idea that he left the scene illegally, which became "he fled the scene" as in hit-and-run. No... he pulled over immediately and a passenger in his vehicle was the first to call 911. When the police arrived, the police got their initial statements, they gave their contact info and the police dismissed them. Standard practice. About 40 minutes later the police called him back wanting to ask him more questions and he returned. There has never been a legit news story or TV report saying he left the scene illegally or implied any kind of hit and run. If he had, he would have been charged with that. So now the Philadelphia news market is about to be inundated with the stories about him. Hopefully they take the time to get it right. Otherwise you'll be bombarded with radio and TV comments from yet more idiots who are too lazy to bother with actual facts.
Probably just as well that I got called into hours of meetings all afternoon long and never got to put together an entry.
Good pick for Steelers. And good job by @nybites in the mock. Jones was already gone (Patriots) so he took Wright in the mock. I would have preferred the Falcons trade down from 8 and then take one of the linemen. I'm okay with Bijan, as he's a great player and a BPA pick, but it also begs the question of WTF the team plans to do at left guard.
