I almost goofed. My bro gave me a list and he was the 2nd name on it. Snipe would have been all my fault.
Your bro did trade down first before taking yet another edge rusher, so kudos for that. Edge is truly not a need though. Not anymore. One thing the media completely misses is that the Saints lined up Kaden Elliss as an edge rusher towards the back end of last season. He had six sacks in seven games. The defensive line coach who used him that way? Ryan Nielsen. Atlanta's new defensive coordinator? Ryan Nielsen. Elliss will play a bit as a true LB, but expect him to be a factor in the pass rush.
Steelers select Carter Warren OT Pittsburgh apologies if he was already taken, I have been inactive for over 120 picks.
More of a don't rest on your laurels kind of thing really. If they can make it a strength it would help the team and I think they can get a good O-lineman in the 2nd but edge might be harder to find, at least one that fits.
Waiting on a few more votes. It's been slow on this one. @Willie @Torgo @matthewwillson29 @BowserBroncos you are the regular voters who haven't voted yet. @Campbell if you get a chance?
Not sure if this is your last pick.. but this applies to everyone that doesn't know. On the spreadsheet on page one, if you scan over there is a tab "Sheet19", this lists all available players in alphabetical order by their first name. The beautiful part is, the names disappear as they are taken. So if a guy isn't there, he is gone, if he is there, he is yours. This is one of my favorite additions this year. Makes it easy to keep from being "that guy".
Not always. Some names just aren't on the list, especially at this point. But if's he's on there he's definitely available.
I checked the source for that Sheet 19 list last night and it has been updated, with nearly 40 names added and the rankings changing - some quite a bit. Unfortunately I can't find a copy of the previous version that had them in order by rank (I sorted it by name and apparently didn't save the original source). But there are some names that would be on the list now that weren't then. As @LAOJoe noted, the first two "Stump The Truck" were both from Pittsburgh. Fortunately Carter Warren actually was on the list.
We'll see if we can improve the "Sheet 19" list for future mocks. I think it's incredibly helpful on our end too, as we need that instant check to see if a guy was already taken. I think I should be able to work out the series of formulas so that we'll be able to put the pick number next to the player and have it automatically flow through to all the pages for each round, showing the pick there. Then you can scroll down the list, find the name, and see when he was taken. If the name isn't there at all, then we know we have a Stump The Truck moment. And whoever is updating the spreadsheet can simply type in the number in one spot and it's done.
My bad, I thought this was a product of the eligible players list the NFL gave out. I didn't realize there were limits.
