The whole damn match box can't tackle Nick Chubb twice a year. Everyone has to take turns so they don't go on IR!!
Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth and Dan Reeves was head coach in Atlanta, he had tremendous success with taking linemen later and developing them for a year before playing them. He never used a first round pick on an offensive lineman. His developmental successes included Roberto Garza, Todd McClure and Kevin Shaffer. But that approach hasn't worked so well for later Falcons teams, mainly because they keep changing the OC, line coach and blocking scheme. For the last 20 years it has been a steady parade of free agents and draft picks who were chosen specifically for one coach/system and ended up not being wanted by the next OC / OL coach.
Been around most of the day here but heading to a hockey game tonight. I'm not officially on the clock until tomorrow morning but I assume I will be coming up tonight. If it doesn't happen by 5 it probably won't happen until late or tomorrow morning.
Solid pick, since we just signed Robinson, WR was pushed back on my board, hence my frustration at 32. It was DL or CB and Breese made sense since Andy Weidl is all about the trenches.
Tim said he'll be a little bit. Also @Wes was talking to me an hour ago... but didn't even know it was the 2nd round already.
Anywhere in the deep south he should be following up those cheeseburgers with barbecue and cole slaw.
Via Text Seattle selects Hendon Hooker, QB - Tennessee Looks like I was right if he was contemplating him last round.
