One more franchise announcement: @Willie stopped by the Cowboys team headquarters with a plate of amazing brownies, an Alice B. Toklas recipe book, and a backpack of "special ingredients". The entire Jones family is now in the dining area test tasting the various recipes. Since they're too busy to bother with unimportant details like the draft, Jerry has hired @Willie to take over as GM.

Unfortunately not... you don't want to go past the end of your time slot. That's one of the clarifications in the second post on page one. (That was part of the feedback that I got from last year's draft - not holding things up for the next time slot if someone is late. So the next minute after the end of the time slot, even the last one of the night, the next team is free to jump ahead and post their pick, and then the next, and the next, and so on and so on and scooby doobie doo.)
If I'm around, I try to PM people a little ahead of whenever the pick comes up, so I might be sending you a PM when the pick two ahead of you is hitting the clock. Hopefully we'll get into the usual pattern of getting pretty well ahead so you don't have to stick around too late to make your pick.
The other part of the feedback from last year is that not holding things up at the last official pick of the night also makes sure the people with the first picks each morning will have a chance to get their picks out of the way in the late night hours. Anyone on Pacific time with a 9am eastern slot won't have to get up and post at 6am. We pretty much always get ahead and get several picks into the next day's schedule, but this guarantees that there will at least be the opportunity to start the day out ahead of schedule.
Not that I know of. PMs are generally it. (For anyone new that doesn't know, that's the Inbox item on the menu bar at the upper right side of the screen.)
Which is a reminder to myself!! Don't ONLY go off of your pick schedule. There will be days that we could get several hours ahead of schedule if everyone checks in regularly. So, if there is a chain of picks made through the night and you are the 9th pick on day 3, you could still technically hold up the draft for several hours... but it is also your prerogative to wait until your draft slot regardless..
Yeah, i work two jobs. I'm trying to not screw this all up by missing picks. And I'm controlling two teams. Lol
I get it 100% real life gets in the way sometimes.. That ultimately is more important obviously. With this format, missed picks aren't as big of a deal. It mostly matters if we get way ahead, but in reality, your slot is listed for a reason, to make it easier for each of us to plan. It if more a courtesy thing, once it starts and you have a minute, jump on to see the progress. It might end up really helping you out if the schedule is way ahead and you are worried about making a pick in your time slot. In the end, just know we are happy you are here. I hope this propels you to be active on the boards as well. We get into a lot of conversations with other team fans, not just our home team pages. Hope you enjoy the mock and really hope you like the atmosphere and feel like sticking around some of the threads.
Hello. Falcons checking in. I will probably pick through Joe (LAOJoe as most know and not Ole McDondald and the farm he's trying to draft) or let Joe type my picks on my account as I am leaving myself logged into his computer to make things easier for me if I can't get on by phone. So he'll probably see what you send me. I'm probably picking when I'm OTC in the 1st but I might be willing to trade back depending on the board and distance/value.
