I agree with that, 12 spots and they have their choice of anyone who had first round talent to fall to 32. In actuality technically a second round pick, but a first round value, minus one less year on the rookie contract.

The same with LaMar No Action Jackson. Price tag and draft capital is absurd. Any employer in any profession, the number one asset is availability.

Anyone mocking Richardson to Baltimore e? They won’t have to change their offensive personnel all that much. Jackson has overvalued himself.league mvp is an individual award. Playoff wins are what he isn’t delivering.

other than the top cardiovascular surgeon in the Baltimore Metropolitan District, who is that valuable that they could turn down 33M a year? Asking for a friend.

I don't think Richardson gets out of the Top 4.

p.s. Lamar was MVP in 2019 when teams were afraid to pressure him. Teams blitz him now early and often. Results are way different.

Well if someone trades for Jackson, the Ravens may have the capital. "You want the blitz? You can't handle the blitz !" - in a Jack Nicholson voice of course. At some point Baltimore is going to have to do something, Doubtful he plays for the tag of 33 per. Kid should have gotten an agent to deflect all the negative publicity on social media. Fans are turning on him and I think some teams may as well as he responds to his Detractors with emojis. The agent could be the buffer on the contract talks making himself look like the bad guy and not LaMar. This whole team player thing he sort of dissolved with his greed and the fact he sat out in the playoffs. I can't read tea leaves, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. ,

Edmunds now gone , Taylor Rapp FA best fit per Steelers Sepot. Now with a weak Safety class and not enough picks in the draft could be a wrench in the cogs. Sims just signed with the Texans. Easily replaced but the WR room is looking thin.

I must say, I’m a little surprised they didn’t bring Sims back, he’s going to be missed in the return game, I know gunner has experience there but, Sims replaced him because he had the drops and can’t afford to have that, he’s also a reliable back up in case Austin becomes Golson and is always hurt never seeing playing time. If those 2 receivers don’t step up we’re going to feel this departure more than any others.

I think it would be wise to maybe dive into some possible receiver depth late day 2 early day 3. In any mocks.

I think Edmunds just needed a fresh start somewhere else, this just proves that we reached so much on Terrell the year we drafted him, even with his experience and shallow pool of FA SS he still is getting only a one year deal.

    Well not a lot to
Pick from in this draft as plug and play safeties with size. Not a real big Branch fan not elite or explosive.
Just the best of a thin bunch. Basicly he’s the tallest munchkin in WOZ.

I think we'll miss him. No Steeler has played more snaps than Edmonds over the last 5 years. There's not even a close second. He didn't make splash plays but there wasn't a weakness in his game. He was a pretty good all around safety.

He wasn’t one to make splash plays or any game changing plays. He didn’t necessarily fill up a stat sheet either. He just consistently showed up to work every week.

I recall people getting frustrated by his coverage skills but it’s not was he was overly asked to do. He will be missed by most, and I hope he has nothing but success in Philly.

The Philly deal was pretty soft. Not sure why we wouldn't pay that. We paid a lot more for a FB that only played special teams.

The chance to win a title there is nice. If he went to a bottom tier team, then I’m scratching my head. He made a personal decision to try and win a championship. Hard to blame a guy for that.

Coming from that same perspective - How far away do you think Pittsburgh is from being in competition with the top teams in the AFC?

I think we’re truly a couple years away if everything keeps trending in the right direction.

This draft will tell us how far. If we can get a couple of stud defenders in the draft we will potentially have a chance this season.

Arguably 2-3 years. Pickett’s development is the biggest thing that will make or break them. They skill position guys are all young so second contracts are key to retain them. The O-line is getting rebuilt but could/should upgrade both OT positions.

Defensively, Highsmith needs resigned and finding Cam’s replacement at DE are the two key things for them there. Also hitting on a CB they draft would be really nice as well.

Unfortunately, the Bengals are 2-3 years ahead of the Steelers, which means that’s the measuring stick for the division for the next 8+ years (assuming the resign their key players). Baltimore could end up becoming a complete shit show if/when they lose Lamar. Cleveland will go as far as Stefanski coaches them, which isn’t very encouraging. He’s been pretty bad the last 2 years, after teams figured him out after his first year.

This assumes the Steelers made an offer. It makes sense if they did.

They are a playoff team with above average QB play. A Super Bowl team with great QB play (most teams are).

To clarify - You believe they are with KC, CIN and BUF now?
