  1. dlinebass5 M.V.P. Bears

So, the Bears did not get an OT this off-season. That is frustrating. Bengals and Chiefs - winning teams - made sure they got a LT paid. Chicago gonna keep trotting out Braxton Jones.

Its got to be frustrating and mind boggling that they dont address the obvious, with out a stout line, RB's and especially Fields suffer. They have to know this and must have a plan. This is too much of a glairing need to be ignored. Maybe the $64M dollar man in Brown was too much, but they have to figure things out. God luck.

Might have a plan come Draft.... one would hope.

    James Robinson joins the Patriots

Running back James Robinson, who performed very well as an undrafted rookie in 2020 with the Jaguars, became a free agent wen the Jets didn’t tender him as a restricted free agent.

He’s now on the move again.

Per multiple reports, Robinson will sign a two-year deal with the Patriots. The contract has a maximum value of $8 million, which means the agent disclosed the biggest possible number with the presumption that all incentives will be earned. (Eventually, the true numbers will be known.)

Robinson had 1,070 yards as a rookie, along with 10 total touchdowns. His production dipped in 2021. The Jaguars traded him to the Jets during the 2022 season. He appeared in only four games after the deal was done.

Parris Campbell agrees to one-year deal with Giants

The Giants are adding a receiver.

According to multiple reports, New York has agreed to a one-year deal with Parris Campbell.

After experiencing several injuries in his first three seasons, Campbell stayed healthy in 2022 to play all 17 games with the Colts. He recorded 63 receptions for 623 yards with three touchdowns. He also had 58 yards on five carries.

A second-round pick in the 2019 draft, Campbell was on the field for 85 percent of Indianapolis’ offensive snaps last season.

In 32 career games with 24 starts, Campbell has 97 receptions for 983 yards with five TDs.

That's a solid signing, chasing this after the Waller deal.

Steelers release veteran LB Myles Jack after one season

The Steelers are swapping in a fresh set of linebacking additions in 2023, meaning someone has to go.

That someone is Myles Jack. Pittsburgh released the veteran linebacker after just one season with the Steelers, the team announced on Thursday.

The Steelers have already found Jack's replacements in former Commanders linebacker Cole Holcomb, who agreed to a three-year deal with the team on Wednesday, per NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero, and former Dolphins and Patriots linebacker Elandon Roberts, who is headed to Pittsburgh on a two-year deal, per NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe.

Jack, meanwhile, heads to free agency for a second straight year. The Steelers signed Jack to a two-year deal in 2022, but he didn't play well consistently enough to keep them from searching for better options at the position. With Devin Bush and Robert Spillane also headed to free agency, the Steelers decided to turn over their linebacking soil with the hopes their new additions will be better fits.

Jack's release from Jacksonville came on the same week a year ago, but he was off the market in less than a week, thanks to the Steelers' quick action. This time around, it might take a little more time, even if Jack played slightly better in 2022 than he did in his final season with the Jags.

Add in that they also resigned Shephard, and they are trying to get weapons around Danny Dimes.

Saints, Ex-Lions RB Jamaal Williams Agree to Three-Year Contract, per Report

The Saints bolstered their backfield in a big way on the first day of NFL free agency, adding former Packers and Lions running back Jamaal Williams.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Williams is headed to New Orleans on a three-year, $12 million deal, which is set to include $8 million in guaranteed money.

The NFL’s 2022 rushing touchdown leader cashed in on his big season in Detroit, during which he punched in 17 touchdowns in as many games and totaled 1,066 rushing yards.

The contract carries an average annual value of $4 million per season, which marks a slight raise coming off the two-year, $6 million deal he played under with the Lions.

Free agent tight end Robert Tonyan is leaving Green Bay but staying in the NFC North.

Tonyan has agreed to a one-year deal with the Bears, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Tonyan originally entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie with the Lions in 2017, but he didn’t make the Lions’ roster and ended up spending some time on the Packers’ practice squad as a rookie. In 2018 Tonyan made the Packers’ regular-season roster, and he has been in Green Bay since. Last season he had 53 catches for 470 yards and two touchdowns.

Because of Tonyan’s rapport with Aaron Rodgers, some thought he might end up on the Jets. Instead, it’s the Bears who will sign Tonyan, and he’ll spend 2023 catching passes from Justin Fields.

You realize, of course, that if history is any indication, you will be enjoying Rodgers as a Vikings QB.

    Bears sign D’Onta Foreman

The Bears have added a running back after losing a running back in free agency.

Free agent running back D'Onta Foreman has agreed to a one-year contract with the Bears, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The Bears’ No. 1 running back from last year, David Montgomery, departed in free agency to sign with the Lions.

The 26-year-old Foreman was a 2017 third-round pick of the Texans and has also spent time with the Colts, Titans and Falcons. Last year he played for the Panthers and had career-highs in carries (203), yards (914) and rushing touchdowns (five).

Foreman is the third key member of the 2022 Panthers’ offense to join the 2023 Bears. They’ve also added former Panthers wide receiver D.J. Moore and former Panthers quarterback P.J. Walker.

I still think the Falcons effed up in 2021 when they released him at the roster cut deadline. Solid but not spectacular signing, for sure. Carolina was lucky to snag him last season. This year they will have a top rookie QB but no Christian McCaffrey and no Donta Foreman to help with the run game.
