Wanna go to the SB? Demand to see this showdown is pushing all-time highs, based on data from SI Tickets. The average ticket price is already in the five figures at $10,959.29, while the lowest price (for a seat in Section 436) is $6,051. Last year’s Super Bowl in Los Angeles came in with a lowest price of just over $5,800 per The Sporting News, so this year’s game is on pace to surpass that. If you’re looking for a better view of the action than the upper deck, SI Tickets’ highest-priced seat for the game comes in at a cool $40,723 for a seat in Section 108, right at midfield.
Absolutely Will. I actively do not want a recreation of the Baltimore/Lamar Offense in Chicago. Surefire way to shorten your QBs career for one thing. At least it is if your QB isn't enrolled in the NFL's witness protection program like a Brady or Mahomes. Fields took late hit after cheap shot all season long with not a flag in sight. Literally punched in the back of the head by POS Suh after giving yourself up on a slide? No problem. Fucking clown officials. But more than that, they dont have to build a running offense around Fields. Wasnt always easy to see with the worst supporting cast in the league, but Fields has genuine arm talent. Better arm talent than Trubisky for sure and in fairness Trubsiky's problem was always more mental than physical. The concern is the move to a more QB keeper game around week 6-7 was purely an act of desperation on the part of the QB staff, if they hadnt done that the Offense would've broke records for being all-time bad. Problem is it worked in many ways. I hope they have the brains/confidence to lean more on Fields arm than his legs next season. Not sure i'll see it tho.
Mecole Hardman won’t practice, doubtful for Super Bowl The Chiefs will be without three wide receivers for Thursday’s practice and head coach Andy Reid cast serious doubt on getting one of them back for Super Bowl LVII against the Eagles. Mecole Hardman returned to action in the AFC Championship Game after an extended layoff due to a pelvis injury, but was forced out of the win over the Bengals after aggravating it. He was listed as out on Wednesday’s estimated practice report and Reid said Thursday that he is not expecting Hardman back in Arizona. “I doubt that he’ll make the Super Bowl. He was not going to be denied the other day. That’s a tribute to the kid. He push himself like no other. He’s a tough, tough kid,” Reid said, via Nate Taylor of TheAthletic.com. Things look better for the team’s other injured wideouts. Kadarius Toney (ankle) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee)won’t practice, but Toney did take part in the walkthrough and Reid said he’s optimistic about Smith-Schuster being well enough to go on February 12. Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed remains in the concussion protocol and will not practice Thursday. PFT

Pre-draft season is here. Senior Bowl is this afternoon. Defense turned out to be the whole show in the Shrine game on Thursday, as the high scoring star of the game was Michigan kicker Jake Moody. Pretty much every defensive player (for both teams) came away with positive game film. Not so good for the offenses though. The running backs looked pretty good. TEs were nothing special. The QBs didn't do anything to stand out, and the WRs were hopeless on contested balls.
The Senior Bowl, a college all-star game that is far better known for the evaluation of players during the week of practice than for the game itself, happened on Saturday. The Nationals beat the Americans, 27-10. Which means absolutely nothing, unless you bet on the game. (And if you bet on the game, you might have a gambling problem.) The MVP of the game was Fresno State quarterback Jake Haener. He completed 12 of 19 passes for 139 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions. Five quarterbacks played in all. Haener had the most passing yards, and the only touchdown pass of the day — a 44-yarder to Stanford receiver Michael Wilson on an underthrown ball. Haener previously was No. 7 on Mel Kiper’s draft rankings at quarterback. Whether Haener’s stock increases remains to be seen. Later this month, Haener will become the first Fresno State quarterback to attend the Scouting Combine since Derek Carr. PFT ___________ ___________________ I watched very little of the game, so I have basically nothing to contribute. Haener's TD was basically a floating duck, throw up a prayer pass, in which the defender fell down... thats all I got.
