Mecole Hardman out for Chiefs, Josh Jacobs active for Raiders

Wide receiver Mecole Hardman returned to the Chiefs active roster this week, but he won’t be in the lineup against the Raiders.

Hardman is on the team’s inactive list for the final game of the regular season. He was listed as questionable with a pelvis injury. Hardman last played in Week Nine and was activated just ahead of the window to bring him back to the 53-man roster was set to expire.

Kicker Harrison Butker, cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, and guard Joe Thuney are all active after being listed as questionable. Quarterback Shane Buechele, kicker Matthew Wright, wide receiver Skyy Moore, defensive end Joshua Kaindoh, tackle Darian Kinnard, and defensive end Malik Herring are inactive.

Raiders running back Josh Jacobs was listed as questionable due to a hip injury and personal reasons, but he is in the lineup on Sunday.

Quarterback Derek Carr headlines an inactive list that also includes linebacker Darien Butler, wide receiver Chris Lacy, running back Brittain Brown, guard Netane Muti, defensive tackle Matthew Butler, and defensive end Tashawn Bower.

    7-3, Chiefs.

Mahomes is one hard dude to cover... very creative with the football when scrambling.

The Chiefs definitely shouldn’t have been handed this. I think the league should have added an eighth playoff team to do away with the by week. The Chiefs didn’t deserve a week off. They lost to both the Bills and Bengals.

True, although with the win, the Bengals would be out of play because the best they could do is 13-4. The Bills would've had the only shot to go 14-3. No win situation for the NFL.

There was a win situation. Play the game after week 18. The only reason why they didn’t push the playoffs back is because they want people to watch their bs pro bowl activities. They know there is no way anyone would watch it if it came on after the SB.

I wouldn't watch it if they played it in my yard.

10-0 Titans. Dobbs looks good. He had a nice play call at the line to get out of a blitz. Happy for him.

Can’t believe Jacksonville is laying an egg after the way they fought to get back in it.

I hate this narrative. The rules are the same this year as they are every year - it doesn't matter who you lost to, it matters how many games you won. They won the most. That's it. I get why people are unhappy, given that they lost to Cincy and Buffalo, but it literally could've been the exact same outcome without the cancelled game.

I get it - people are unhappy because the ruling was ultimately unfair. But there was never going to be an inherently fair way to resolve this. Complaining about rules that have always existed is just nonsense on top of that.

I get that but the NFL could have had the game played, however they didn't want to offset things. Why do the Ravens get a coin flip but the Bills don't? Why did the AFC neutral field only apply in the AFCCG and only if the chiefs were involved but not the Bengals vs Bills who could have been the 1 seed had KC lost and they beat the Bills in the cancelled game? Why not divisional round neutral sites? The whole Ravens thing was a big slap in the face to the whole thing. It was hypocritical.
