Nice rebound after the pick. Gardner had some good throws. By the way how's your heart? Vikes are just unreal!
They are nuts!!! But ill take the win, My heart is strong thank goodness, but this has been a ridiculous season for Minnesota. With all the last possession wins, Cousins has been hit by far, more times than any other QB in the NFL. Its all surreal... twilight zone stuff.
Titans-Jaguars Week 18 winner wins the AFC South, regardless of what happens next week The Titans and Jaguars are in an unusual situation heading into Week 17: Both teams know that the game that really matters is Week 18. The Week 18 Titans-Jaguars winner will win the AFC South, and that’s true regardless of whether either team wins, loses or ties in Week 17. There’s no scenario in which the winner of that Week 18 matchup doesn’t win the division. That raises the question of whether both teams will rest their starters in Week 17, when the Titans face the Cowboys and the Jaguars face the Texans. It might be better for both teams to keep their best players healthy for the game with the division title on the line than to risk injuries to win a largely meaningless game in Week 17. It is still possible for either the Titans or the Jaguars to be a wild card team, but that’s a long shot. Most likely, the loser of the Week 18 game will miss the playoffs entirely. What if the Week 18 Titans-Jaguars game ends in a tie? That’s when Week 17 could matter: If Week 18 were a tie, then the Titans would win the AFC South if they win Week 17 and the Jaguars lose Week 17. If either the Jaguars win Week 17 or the Titans lose Week 17, then the Jaguars would win the AFC South with a Week 18 tie. But what we know for sure is that the winner of the AFC South will be decided in Week 18 in Jacksonville. PFT
Vikings win eleventh one-score game, an all-time record In Week One, the Vikings beat the Packers by two scores, 23-7. Since then, the Vikings have won 11 games. Each has been a one-score game. Saturday’s walk-off winner, courtesy of a 61-yard field goal from kicker Greg Joseph, gave Minnesota its eleventh one-score victory of the year, an all-time record. The kick from Joseph was the fourth-longest field goal with no time remaining in the fourth quarter or in overtime. After leading 10-0 in the first half, the Vikings trailed in the fourth quarter. This year, 74 contests have featured a team coming back to win or tie after trailing in the fourth quarter. That’s the most through 16 weeks in NFL history, with five games still to be finished. The Vikings, at 12-3, have clinched the NFC North. They’re trying to hold off the 49ers for the No. 2 seed, while also chasing the Eagles for the No. 1 seed. PFT
I thought Falcons coach Arthur Smith might have a stroke on the field over the horrid officiating. The refs had already killed a touchdown opportunity before halftime with a TERRIBLE intentional grounding call (the defender hit the QB's arm as he threw). He was so angry about that one that he was still yelling at every official he could find as the teams were leaving the field for the halftime break. (One interesting side note... a pass interference call can be overturned on review if the pass was deflected. But the QB's arm being hit on an intentional grounding call can NOT be reviewed.) And then in the third quarter, the officials took away a Cordarrelle Patterson touchdown on a bogus holding call downfield. Smith was so angry on that one that when he challenged a subsequent play, he spent that time yelling at the ref some more over the holding call. He seriously blew a gasket. I'm sure he's still pissed about it even tonight. Two touchdowns became two field goals... and his team lost by exactly 8 points. I pretty much wrote the season off when Ta'Quon Graham and Kyle Pitts both went on IR. The team started the season with the most dead money in NFL history. They did a good job putting together enough of a roster to be competitive every week, but with a free agency budget that involved saving box tops they simply don't have the depth to overcome all the injuries. Now I'm just watching them get closer to having a top five draft pick and wondering if there might be something to SI's reported trade rumors for Lamar Jackson.
@Campbell Merry Christmas to you and your family. Thanks for this site. To all here at L4SN, Merry Christmas!... I appreciate all of you. Your personalities, your comments and conversations here have been a pleasure for a long time now. Life brings its serious issues and conflicts, sickness and sorrow's with all sorts of bull shit, but I can come on here almost daily and escape some of the hassles and just relax... so thanks. Long live L4SN!
No no Willie. Please don't be sorry. It wasn't my intention to be snarky. You mentioned they were still in it and I just wanted to add to your thought. Sorry if I worded it wrong.
lol, I didnt take it at all as being snarky/negative, I just was listening to the talking heads on the NFL broadcast and they made it sound like the Steelers were still in it. After your post and a look at the picture for myself, it will take a miracle at the least, but maybe they were just going by the mathematically alive thing.
