Ravens @ Steelers game thread

Rudolph is not available because he’s inactive. So we have the Mitch Trubisky shit fest the rest of the day.

 

Maybe we need a QB with our first pick? Pickett might have a concussion problem.

 

When Mitch got the TD drive I mistakenly thought he would have a good day. So much for that. If Pickett can’t go next week please play Rudolph.

 

Have a defensive problem too. Sounds like the Ravens have been having their way running the ball. I’m listening to the game, Trubisky is pushing the ball down the field which is good. Problem is drives are coming up empty. Would be at least a tie game without those picks

 

I’m so glad the Ravens have 2 QB’s playing for them today.

Mitch technically only has 1 incompletion 16 completions for us and 3 to the Ravens.

Trusucky with 3 picks, WTF . Can’t win in the NFL being -3 in the turnover margin . If Pickett can’t go next game put Rudolph out there !

 

Or when you go up against the #2 rush defense in the league. 3 turnovers and a blocked FG did them in. Any one of those things don’t happen, Steelers win.

 

I'm happy with holding them to 16. That's plenty of chances to win. I'm disgusted

 

the Steelers when they had better pedigree on the OL had rushers to go over 100 yards against way better defenses than that defense. It definitely was the turnovers and the blocked FG that did them in, but if we could actually control the LOS it would help maintain possession and maybe not have to pass as much.

A lot of games this season Ben finds a way to get our Super beloveds a win. So for those that couldn’t wait for Ben to retire I hope you’re enjoying the show.

I loved watching a vet QB today operate in the pocket and push the ball down the field instead of running out to the right every time he perceived a little pressure.

Can't throw the first two INTs in scoring territory. Gotta check it down and take what they give you. But it was nice to see a real passing game. Some big time throws in there. Best the passing game has looked this year.

Of course you can't see that on the radio. On the radio 3 and outs while screaming, "Pickett hasn't thrown an INT is 4 weeks!" sounds a lot better.

In retrospect, I should have adjusted my Trubisky takes once they drafted Pickett. Never thought Tomlin would yank a vet after 3 1/2 weeks. I mistakenly believed him when he said he wanted the QBs to play loose, not look over their shoulder. O-line and offense never had a chance to develop.

Saw a much better version of them yesterday with a vet QB sliding in the pocket, moving up in the pocket, extending plays. The INTs across the middle ruined a really encouraging passing game.

The third INT didn't bother me. 2nd and 9 midfield took a shot downfield. Diontae just didn't fight through the contact. Turned out to be a good punt.

But you all can keep taking your shots. It doesn't bother me. Pickett shouldn't be on the field. He should be spectating, learning the professional game.

p.s. You didn't even want Pickett Gid. You wanted Mason to win the job during training camp started. Stop acting like you were driving the KP bus. Your guy hasn't put on a uniform this year.
