We finally scored an amount higher than twenty in regulation. But we lost a game because our defense didn’t get the job done.
The good: 2 more losses until we don’t ever again have to hear “Tomlin never had a losing season” 8-8 isn’t a losing season but also isn’t a winning season either so IMO it’s way overblown Last 12 seasons 3 playoff wins, no SB appearances. A couple years gave us false hope only to be greatly disappointed by gross home playoff losses. Since the players he inherited started to retire, Tomlin’s way to build the team the way he wants hasn’t worked, maybe blame the GM too but Tomlin’s way simply hasn’t worked.
You can’t say it’s overrated. He has the record for the most seasons at the beginning of a coaching career with no losing seasons. That’s impressive, just not as impressive as Super Bowl victories.
Matt Williamson has said that he’s talked to other teams around the league about Canada’s offense and many have called it juvenile, elementary, etc so who really wanted to hire Canada? Tomlin or did the Rooney’s force Canada on Tomlin?
he only holds that “never had a losing season” because of Ben and this season is proving it. First year without him and he’ll have a losing season right off the bat.
Remaining schedule @ Colts @ Atlanta Balt at Carolina Raiders at Balt Cleveland Anyone see 5 wins and a tie in those games to get yet another ,500 season to brag about ?
Remaining schedule @ Colts w @ Atlanta w Balt. W at Carolina w Raiders. W at Balt. W Cleveland. W Anyone see 5 wins and a tie in those games to get yet another ,500 season to brag about ? That’s 10-7
Since our last SB appearance 15 teams have more playoff wins than the Steelers. There are 4 teams tied with the Steelers in wins. But hey its okay cause captain tomlin has never had a loosing season. Never mind the fact that 3 playoff wins puts us in the middle of the pack. Becauss winning the regular season has become accaptable in the world today. Hey only 1 team can win a championship but golly shucks at least we didnt have a loosing season. Its pathetic and the mantra that only the Patriots had brady so what are supposed to do. Since our last appearance the Ravens have won a championship with Joe Flacco, the broncos won with a washed up Manning and the eagles won with nock foles. The 49ers have gone twice with two different coaches and diffrent QBs the Rams have gone twice winning one of course and reaching the other with Goff but hey at least we havnt had a loosing season in that time like those assholes.
The good was the first half offense. Pickett looked decisive and confident. No INTs in the last two games. Pickens continues to impress. Even the pass that was called back for illegal man downfield was a sideline toe tap. The bad was the second half offense and the D for the whole game. No Mixon for most of the game and Chase out and they still gave up 37. The ugly is that while, the Bengals praised Pickett, they were very candid about how predictable Canada's play calling is. Fix that please. Fire him. The hurry up flea flicker was stupid. The quest for a top five pick rumbles on.
And that Raiders one is a toss-up because that's a playoff-caliber roster with the second-worst head coach in the NFL (thanks, Nathan Hackett).
