until the offense scores more than 20pts, I’m not going to hold my breath that we’ll go on some winning streak. WATT can’t play offense.

Watt can get the defense off the field giving Pickett more chances to find more points.

Hopefully those points are for the Steelers, and not pick 6s or fumble recoveries for TD. Not saying give up on him, but he’s got to start proving he’s the answer. Keep bringing up Mannings rookie year about the most INTs for in a season at the time, but he also had the most TDs for a rookies at the time. Definitely not the same as Pickett. Offense did gain a spark when he came in, but now he needs to put the ball in the end zone more often then in his opponent’s hands

The biggest problem with young QBS is that you don’t usually know if they are any good until at least their second season is half way over. It’s a dilemma, because if we pick in the top five, do you scrap the QB you just picked and start over or do you take a stud player like Carter from Georgia? Me personally I would go for the stud player.

If I knew the answer for sure I’d be working in some NFL front office lol Still half a season to see if the spark catches fire. My guess is they’ll give him at least 1 season, more likely 2, with a new coordinator before the team considers turning the page unless he completely bottoms out.

What really tears me up is that I want the Steelers to win games, but if they win a bunch of games this second half of the season we lose any chance to add Carter from Georgia.

One positive this year; Brady,Rodgers, & Carr all suck wazoo. McDaniels is NOT a HC ! I said that back when Marshall and Cutler bailed from the Broncos on his first stunt. (That’s a stint when the guy is a see you next Tuesday)

Carter would be my pick over Anderson he stood out more than Anderson on the biggest stage. Murphy and Breesee are solid picks and Soronski is a blue chip player. Here is why I pick Carter . The DL class is not as deep as CB and OT. In fact you could still get a good starting OT or CB early round 3 very deep classes.

the IOL class isn’t very deep compared to other years and I feel Torrence May slide into the 20’s. There are quite a few good edge rushers after Anderson (great) and again middle 2 or early 3 is going to have plenty to pick from. The trenches are the issue the first two picks should be to fix the talent and insert youth. Middle 2 and early 3 CB & LB. Deep safety class too and I think they’re ok if Edmunds sticks around.

Here is a conundrum. Do we want the bears to pick ahead of us in the draft? Sure we get a high 2nd but they could snap up Skoronski , Carter or Anderson in the 1st! The Raiders after Carr’s boo boo meltdown might take a signal caller. And correct me if I’m wrong but they can buy him out for 6M . Cardinals have too much $ invested in Murray. Texans, Panthers, Colts and Lions are also in need of QB. I wonder if that moves Hendin Hooker up, he’s my #4 off the top of my head. Seriously Mayfield blows, Darnold sucks, Ryan is decrepit, Goff just stunk up the field etc.., At least some top 10 draft teams not based in Chicago, also don’t need a QB. But then again trades happen.

Put the Saints in the QB club as well they also seem to tanking. Why else would they keep running Dalton out there.

Have you ever seen their other QBs play? Didn’t they trade away their first rd pick to Philadelphia? Why would they tank for no reason?

What if we can trade down in the first and Carter is there at our original pick in the first, would you take Carter or do you take the offer, of course the offer is going to be comparable?

Today was a good day draft pick wise, depending on the outcome of our game.

The bears lost again, now 3-8
The stains won and are now 4-7
Panthers won and are now 4-8
Jags beat the Ratbirds and are now 4-7

currently as of this post the cards are beating the chargers and the Raiders are beating the Seahawks.

A top 5 pick and 2 early picks in the second round will give them impact players . Lots of holes to fill but I’d go OT, DT, OG/C depends on who is available. I watched the Sewell kid play, he’s a beast I would pound the table for him. Wasn’t as impressed with Torrence vs Florida State I’d go elsewhere in the low 30’s .

Watching The Purple Pansies lose to the Jags was almost as exciting as the Miracle in Miami. Almost. Anytime NE or BALT loses I get a real Grinchy Grin :)
