If we continue to suck we might be drafting top 5 lots of really good defenders available and might be able to slide back if a team wants a QB. Really good class of QB, CB, & WR

Say it again Mac Suck Jones when the OL breaks down he’s rubbish. He had an Alabama line in front of him that could have started for 3/4 of the NFL. Pickett is turrible in the rain, look it up.

 

Maybe we should lose another 9 games and draft a QB.

 

If it meant Trubisky would never play for the Steelers again it would be fine.

 

How about we drip the Pickett Trubisky pissing contest and focus on players in the draft who can fill the talent voids.

I don’t know why beach has a crush on Trubisky. But an OT would be great. I have a feeling when TJ gets back Tomlin will get back to his tricks and keep us from having a good enough pick to improve our oline. Our after bye week schedule isn’t that daunting that we couldn’t end up around 500 by seasons end as long as Watt plays.

Good QB draft coming up. Pickett was wrong pick. Sunk cost now. Only thing that matters is getting someone who can win at QB position.

And it's not Trubisky vs Pickens. They aren't mutually exclusive. If neither is the answer find the answer.

 

Unless we get a new coaching staff we will be rolling with Pickett again next season because they do think he is the answer. To think if Fitz had his way we would have hurts.

 

I can’t believe you guys are able to judge a rookie QB from 4.5 games in his rookie season. Peyton Manning would have been destroyed by you guys his rookie season. Steelers fans hate every rookie unless they make the pro bowl. This is going to be one crappie bye week if all’s we’re going to hear about is a QB we don’t know anything about yet. I felt he was not the guy before he was drafted I'm not changing my mind just because the Steelers were dumb enough to take him in the first.

 

We are on the hook with Najee & Pickett, just traded away Claypool for a 2nd & a 5th. So again who in the draft can help this team?

me personally I would have moved Rudolf and kept Claypool. Pickett is our QB for at least the next 2 seasons. If y’all remember I was against the pick because he has jelly bean hands and struggled when the ball was wet. So I bit my lip because that’s who they picked. Pickens is good, but they drafted a WR who won’t see the field in his rookie year! And a f’n QB in round 7 . There were 3 CB prospects taken right after that QB Pick and then 3/5 of the next picks were OG, C, and OT.

 

The Steelers never set themselves up with multiple picks in the first and second rd. So Khan is doing some good things for our future.

I feel we did pretty good. Claypool isn’t going to be more than a third option in our WR room, we basically took a low end flyer on a CB who if he plays up to his ability would be a steal for what we gave up. Unless we screw up our pick with the second rd pick we win both trades.

 

But you said that Trubisky was the guy. You took lots of personal shots at people on this site while INSISTING that Trubisky was the guy. So, is he not? The Steelers shouldn't need a QB, right?

 

To be a franchise QB you have to do a few things very well to offset the things you don't do well. What does Pickett do very well? I see nothing. Zero arm talent.

Fortunately, he was Colbert's pick. Khan has already showed us he's his own guy. There aren't significant financial implications and he'll retain some trade value.

If the Steelers have a top 7 pick (which is highly likely if Pickett keeps the job) there will be better players at the position available and it's the job of the front office to improve at every position.

 

If we play Trubisky we might be able to obtain the number one overall pick. We don’t need a QB because we have Pickett. What we need is a couple of stud oline and dline for this team to take back control over the AFCN. I love how people can judge a rookie QB from 4.5 games but can’t judge a veteran from 5.5 years of pure shit.

 

Seebs has the Steelers with the number one overall pick and selecting Will Anderson edge from Bama. That’s an interesting idea. Pair him with Watt and our defense would be ridiculous in the pass rush. I can’t see us playing that bad this season, we’re more likely to go on a winning streak and end up somewhere around 15th than first overall pick.
