I agree Jackosn has to get paid. I don't know the Ravens specific cap situation going into next season. But you don't spend those picks on this position and this player for half a season. Noquan isn't getting them over the hump for a SB. However they do it they're gonna sign him to a deal.
Go piss in someone else's cherrios man.....he's coming off the best two game stretch of his career so far.
I feel fucking rejuvenated, honestly. The rest of this season will be ugly. But the future could be amazing.
Different teams different positions is how i look at that. The 9ers have shown that they have very little self control when there's a player they like. They got fleeced in that McCaffery trade. They paid way too much to get Trey Lance. Thats not who the Ravens are to me, they don't fleece nearly as easily. McCaffery's an impact player at a point scoring position in an offensive league. Noquan ticks none of those boxes. JMO.
I think you saw exactly what Roquan's impact is this season....it's honestly not much as he's not a guy that causes turnovers. He's going to be very good in a defense where there's a lot of talent around him. But he's not really an impact playmaker or gamechanger. He's a very, very good linebacker when he is playing at his best. There's no doubt. And he can make a difference when he's freed up to do so. But when he's singled out because the talent around him is poor....he doesn't really impact the game much at all.
The Steelers would be looking to improve their QB position not not lower their standards to another bears shitfest
Ryan Pace had 45 draft picks from 2015 to 2021. Poles went into his first draft with 6 picks and left with 12 and currently has 9 in hand for next April. Kinda shows a different mentality.
The guy that started your season is literally our recycled trash. The guy you're currently starting has hands smaller than your penis.....which your wife can help me in reminding you is rather miniscule. The Steelers would give up a 3rd for our backup because he'd be a remarkable improvement.
I expect him to look better on th Ravens with better talent around him. Not really sure what this means for Patrick Queen tho. In a little over a year he's gonna want to be paid too, hard to see it tho if they pay Noquan.
The Ravens cap has to make you wonder a lot. They can't possibly pay everyone wanting a payday. And they just paid a hefty sum to rent Roquan for 9 games....in a season where they definitely don't feel like a favorite for even the AFC title game, let alone the SB.
Not to pile on, but while I'd love a 1st, that would be Poles very much "winning" the trade, especially when he has stated he wants to be the highest paid LB in the league? And given how he's looked this year? I agree, maybe someone bites on the fool's gold that is "most tackles in the NFL" but do you honestly think a team is going to drop a first on top of potentially having to pay him a massive sum? Put another way, the person who trades a first, is Jerry Angelo or Ryan Pace, and neither is in the league. We'd have to fleece someone, and if they didn't bite, the Ravens gave a fair offer. Any trade like this would have to include a plan to the future. A team would have to give up a QB-LEVEL first or a quality QB in return in addition to anything else. I highly doubt there are any teams or any deals that are going to be a good fit here. If they end up picking top 2 (pretty unlikely) then maybe they trade him for something, but otherwise I just don't see any other franchise saying, "hey, they BEARS didn't want him, but we could make it work!" So I'm going to put the odds on this happening at a solid 1%. Stranger things have happened, but it's not happening. What are you talking about, they have Pitt legend Pickett AND Mitch. That's unbeatable talent right there.
I think FA has to dictate how the draft goes. What is FA looking like for offensive line depth and front 7 starters?
I also like the mentality a lot, but I disagree majority of offense, we need players on both sides of the ball as we saw last weekend. What I want are players for the trenches, both sides, and a WR.
I believe there will be a few quality OL's available as it stands. DL, not sure tho i know Daron Payne should be available and the WTFs can't pay everyone on that DL. One thing i prob do, and id wait till tomrrow near deadline time, is offer the Dolphins that newly acquired 5th for Mike Gesicki. It may have to get up to a 4th. Its worth a phone call. I don't think Gesicki is in Miami next year and the Bears have so much cap that paying him wouldn't be a problem. You'd need to feel secure that he'd sign a deal in order to make the trade imo. A genuine pass catching TE would be a huge plus for Fields and the offense.
Im just so done in by years of stone age Bears football that i need my team to have offense. Admit its not a good way to approach roster building but as a fan its what i need to see now.
Dont they have a rock solid ILB for their 3-4 in Queen? Two awesome ILBs, even in a 34 just seems like a weird luxury to give up draft capital for when you need to pay your qb big money, find a WR1, have limited cap as pointed out, and have to pay 2 said awesome ILBs this off-season and in another or two for Queen. LOL weren’t you the guy who said ebner should get more carries when Monty/Herbert (and fields) have been carving up teams? Feel free to contribute something meaningful to the conversation/topic at hand, or feel free to fuck right off, ass clown.
Not quite sure I understand where you're coming from with this... It's a legit question to be asked, based on the idea that new general managers/head coaches are inclined to reshape the team in their own image. And, as we've discussed previously, I think Fields has a solid future in the NFL. Whether or not it's with Chicago is a fair question.
