Apparently guys were screaming and yelling at each other in the locker room after the game. Stefanski has lost this team if there’s dissent among the ranks. Not sure it will matter how well our suspended sex offender QB does when he gets back.

So…who are the names in the running for our next head coach and new OC and DC?

And, with salary cap hell coming along with a new regime. Who gets traded out to give some cap relief?

Better buckle up, Duff, because I don't think Stefanski gets the hook until at least the midway point of next season.

If I had to make a wild speculation (no, no one needs to twist my arm), my bet is that the Browns are good enough early in 2023 to keep Kevin as the HC until at least 2024.

    @SAS

You should be chomping at the bit to start off answering my question in my earlier post.

(Pssst……..my ulterior motive is to start the process of bringing you back into fold over here on the Browns board……but you didn’t hear it from me ;))

    • A red dot next to their name means their dead money exceeds their cap hit.
    • A yellow dot - dead money equals cap hit.
    • A green dot - dead money is less than cap hit. (= cap save)

    Thanks for the post @Lyman

I'll have to take a better look at it tonight or tomorrow when I have some time.

Quality trolling today, Duff. I felt my eyes begin to twitch, for a second.

The book has already been written on KS. It may not be in publication, but we know how it ends. He's not a head coach, or head coaching material. He's a damn good coordinator and his system (really, the Shannahan-Kubiak system) is wonderful at turning out impressive running attacks, but he's failing in every major category a head coach shouldn't. That's not to say it's uniquely a Browns' problem anyhow, as all over the League teams do this -- they over-hire good-to-great coordinators to head coaching spots and get lackluster results and wonder why.

KS is a Top 10, if not better, coordinator, but his emotions come into play too much during games and he fails to make the tough calls a head coach needs to.
Better question is who's in line to be the next GM. The top HC options are going to want roster control anyway, but even if they go the coordinator route again, what has Berry done to inspire confidence? He's dismantled John Dorsey's playoff winning roster, aggressively pursued the most prolific sexual assaulter in NFL history (hon. mention, Darren Sharper), and tethered him to the team with an untenable, fully-guaranteed contract that is going to cripple the cap for the next several years, which brings us to...
Myles Garrett ($25 million) and Amari Cooper ($23 million) would be the top choices. Myles is playing at a high level still and should net some decent compensation. Cooper likely will not bring the same return but clears a LOT of cap space for an average wide receiver.

Haha... always happy to visit and have some quality conversations, my friend!

Besides, it's not like the Chargers board is dripping with activity or the Panthers board (yikes) is going to keep me around much longer...

For all these reasons above, I think the only option is to run it back for 2023. I'm sure that probably doesn't give the warm and fuzzies for anyone wanting a change or shake-up, but realistically, this whole group is linked to SP4 for the near-term.

And yes, it's wild in such a results-based business like the NFL that a team would literally waste two back-to-back seasons like they are, but that's where it looks like it's headed.

"DW4" is the Cleveland Browns' new quarterback's personal brand. SP4, or "Sexual Predator 4" is a more accurate representation of that brand.

You're right, that's unfair of me. You very well might be trying really hard. You're just, by all appearances, really bad at it. But I wish you luck on your journey.
