They can try it but in the world of pro sports most of the time they will just be told no.

That's an interesting thought, and I wouldn't be surprised if it plays out that way. Under previous CBAs, you had the young hotheads wanting new contracts even before they had proven themselves. Now that the rookie contracts are slotted, the chances of that succeeding are zero. So now the hotheads might start looking for a new team instead.

Thats why I liked what Saleh did... benched him. Saleh also aid this; “In my view, whether we agree or not, it doesn't matter, but to ask him to play a football game with where he is from a mental standpoint wouldn't be fair to him,” said Saleh, who insisted Moore wasn't being punished by the team. “That's strictly my decision.”

Im sure Moore is even more miffed, but maybe he will learn an important lesson and begin to look at things from a team perspective, which in my opinion, he clearly wasnt.

Most if not all of the 'ship jumping' wouldnt occur in the first place if GM's and Owners didnt allow it. Moore disappointed me, let his team down and should have known better. Now the Jets, with a 4-2 record , will hit the road without him... kinda silly if you ask me.

Mark Andrews expects to play today

It’s looking good for Ravens tight end Mark Andrews.

Andrews, listed as questionable with a knee injury for today’s game against the Browns, is expected to play, according to multiple reports.

Andrews is the Ravens’ leading receiver with 39 catches for 455 yards and five touchdowns this season. After Lamar Jackson, Andrews has been the second-most important player in the Ravens’ offense.

The 3-3 Ravens are 6.5-point favorites over the 2-4 Browns in an important matchup in the AFC North.

Chiefs to start rookie RB Isiah Pacheco over Clyde Edwards-Helaire vs. 49ers

The Chiefs are shaking up their backfield today, looking to put one of their talented rookies into a bigger role.

Isiah Pacheco took the first-team reps in practice this week and is expected to be the starter at running back in Sunday's game vs. the 49ers, sources say. Pacheco will replace former first-rounder Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who will still have a key role on offense. Kansas City often rotates backs, and both are expected to see significant snaps.

This is a change from past games, however, as the seventh-rounder from Rutgers has about half the carries as Edwards-Helaire this season (59 attempts compared to Edwards-Helaire's 31). But Pacheco has averaged 4.8 yards per carry in limited time, compared to 4.3 YPC for Edwards-Helaire.

A tough, fast interior runner who runs hard, Pacheco has flashed great potential so far.

The transformation has been swift for K.C., which began the year featuring Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon with a splash of Pacheco. Now it'll likely be Pacheco and Edwards-Helaire with a splash of McKinnon.

With Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs are a pass-happy offense with total carries in the middle of the pack in the NFL through six games. So backs must be able to have pass-protection proficiency and the ability to catch out of the backfield.

Pass protection is one of the places Pacheco has stood out, thanks in part to the schooling he received at Rutgers from then-RBs coach Augie Hoffmann, who was an NFL offensive lineman and now coaches the O-line at Rutgers. K.C. can trust Pacheco in protection.

What Pacheco barely showed in college was the ability to catch out of the backfield, rarely going out on routes and catching just 13 passes during his season season at Rutgers. But he's picked it up quickly in practice and dating back to training camp, sources say. The 22-year-old is looking like a find as the 251st overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft.

It'll all be on display today against the 49ers.

Thats an interesting move by the Chiefs. Looking to get a spark from the running game, which would possibly open up even more the passing game.

@Campbell Good luck with him... iirc i traded Pacheco to you... I will live to regret that probably, lol.

Browns score first on an impressive drive lead by Chubb, but the Ravens are moving well also.

I can only imagine for Browns and Ravens fans, watching their games in the 4th quarter is like getting waterboarded.
