Tampa Bradys @ Pittsburgh game thread

There’s a rumor that Brady is thinking seriously about retirement mid season because of issues with his wife. What better way to possibly send him out than with a loss. I am telling you guys right now that we are winning this game. Pickett to Pickens is going to be ringing in your ears all next week . It will be all the talking heads will be saying for 7 days. It will be the first game we win that Watt has missed. Then next week we have another winnable game with the Dolphins QB situation. But let’s take it one game at a time. I’ll do my part as a fan, will you do yours? Together we can turn this season around.

This week the Pittsburgh Steelers look to break its four-game losing streak but it’s not going to be easy against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here are the three big storylines for this week.

Can the defense hold up?

Four starting defensive backs for the Steelers are out for this week’s game along with key backup defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal. Losing cornerbacks Levi Wallace, Ahkello Witherspoon and Cameron Sutton in addition to safety Minkah Fitzpatrick put the defense in a near-impossible position. Last week was the franchise’s worst loss under Mike Tomlin but this week could actually be worse.

Is a trade coming?


As the season continues to spiral, could a trade be coming? The Steelers could deal either Mason Rudolph or Mitch Trubisky and even wide receiver Chase Claypool should be a consideration. If the Steelers lose on Sunday, the team could decide to start selling off players to plan for next season.

What will Kenny Pickett do for an encore?

If there was a high point in last week’s beatdown by the Buffalo Bills it was the play of rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett. In particular Pickett’s work with fellow rookie George Pickens. We all want to see what Pickett does this week and if he can get some points on the board.

It's great to be optimistic but in reality bet on Tampa they will cover the spread. The defense is to beat up to stop any QB right now let alone one with the talent of Brady.

 

Our local Fox channel 61 switched todays game from Tampa st Pitt to Green Bay at the Jets. I’ve never seen more than 3 Jets jerseys in a season yet I see Steeler fans all the time. Not happy. My other option is the Patriots at the Browns. Maybe I’ll rewatch the Vols beating ‘Bama.

10-9 Steelers. The D is better than expected. They get the ball first in the 3rd. A TD drive would be nice.

 

Not able to watch but listening along. A 1 point lead is a lot better than what almost anyone thought. Sounds like Pierre and Norwood are playing well, Highsmith getting good pressure and Heyward finally showed up. Sounds like Larry O is showing up as well.

 

Honestly I’m happy with the competitive half lol

 

Also sounds like Canada went into his shell at the end of the half. I’m listening while working so cannot say with confidence, but it sure sounded like it

 

Canada’s offense cannot get into the end zone with 1st and 10 from the 12
