So many issues, if we can’t stop the run then you can kiss any shot at winning any games before the bye week goodbye.
Pickett will get the starting reps in practice this week. Our offense looked encouraging, Pickett will help us stay in all the games coming up on our schedule. We need the defense to play. TJ should be back in a couple of weeks.
Hope so. After 0 TDs and 3 INTs against a bad team not exactly lighting it up. However I haven’t watched the game yet so maybe they weren’t on him
One was deflected by Claypool and one was a Hail Mary at the end of the game. I didn’t see them live but those weren’t really on Pickett. Pickett also ran for two TDs. The offense moved the ball well every drive Pickett was on the field.
That was my takeaway too. Still, the D just needed to hold them to FG attempt with 2 minutes left. The teams coming up will eat this team alive. Who cares about wins now. Develop Pickett and get a high pick. Build the trenches
I think Pickett gives us a chance to win all the games coming up. He was 10-10 outside of the INTs. The offense converted every third down with Pickett on the field. Give Pickett some starters reps in practice and we will have a much better offense.
Pickett did ok but forced the throw to ‘Muth. At least the O had a sign of life. D was gassed TOP favored the Jets
I see Claypool gone next year. Need to build the trenches, get a late round WR. Quality OLB depth!! Most likely losing Bush next season too. Also a SS.
The more starts equals more tape for opponents. Don’t get me wrong, offense needs a spark and while Trubisky didn’t lose games sure as hell didn’t win them either. Again I won’t watch the game till Tuesday, so looking at the box score with sub- 100 yards at halftime with a pick. Congrats for Tomlin for making the switch, didn’t expect it until the bye
I didn’t see the game, but after watching highlights I don’t think Pickett made bad throws on the ints because they were catchable by his receivers but they tipped them into the air and the defenders made good plays on the tipped balls.
I could never really get the undying Trubisky support. We're all couch GMs here but in the end, GMs know better and the film on Trubisky must have been pretty telling. If the Steelers actually believed in him, Pickett wouldn't have been picked and the o line would have been the priority. Back to the pine for Mitch.
