Because if the play is sent in on time and the personnel is in the right spots, no penalty will always be advantageous. We were talking about the situation. The situation being, a late play call and personnel out of place which was obvious by Brady moving them into place. Once that was established, giving BRADY more room in his passing lanes is advantageous imho.

Again, it is all situational. Imagine the presser if Leftwich calls a run, with no penalty and they are stuffed for no gain. The headlines would have read "With no success running the ball, why did they take the ball out of Tom Brady's hand?"

No one said the DC wouldn't have a play called to stop the run, especially from the 2 yard line.

The fact is, the delay of game was a run play, whether Brady audibled because of the personnel issues or what.. But once the delay occurred, they were 100% going to pass the ball.

You got the call on your headset?

If it helps, I think you're wrong, too.

  4. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

well... they handed the ball off, so....

I can live with I "think" you are wrong.. That's an opinion that you are welcome to have. I wouldn't take issue with that at all.

You're way out over your skis, bud.

More personnel to clog the run = easier pass. 5 yards back = less people needed to defend the run, more for the pass.

    You're getting it!

It was a joke. You're an unhappy person.

Someone saying you're wrong is quite literally them thinking you're wrong and verbalizing it.

    For fucks sake man.

Can I say I think you're an idiot? Is that better than just saying you're an idiot?

I really think Tom made a huge mistake and he must know it and own up to it, which im sure he will if he hasnt already. There is a replay of that 2 point conversion on twitter and I seen it about 4 times which was enough for me to come to the conclusion, that if Tom got that off in time, Fourtnette would have scored. The play on both sides of the ball was relatively spread out and when they snapped the ball, Leonard was headed right into the right spot to make it 'look like' he would have scored. But, as we all know, that dint happen because Tom Terrific fucked up, lol.

I might add that seeing Tom fuck up is great, but when it gave the Pack the victory... eventually, it was disgusting.

I wish it had turned out differently, obviously, but its over and water under the bridge and long down the river. The Packers showed they are NOT invincible many times in this early part of the season... that is a plus as a Vikings fan.

Yes that is a truly horrible position to be in isn't it.

Also took him a while to be man enough to go over and shake hands after being beaten by Nick Foles. Wait that never did happen did it you 0-2 twat.

To this day I still gotta defend Nick Foles. I don't care if he's a system QB. In that system he worked and that's all I care about. I'm not defending Jags, or Bears Foles. Maybe he had shitty coaching in LA, but Eagles Foles has had 2 legendary games SB and arguably best game ever by a QB vs Raiders in first stint) and been clutch in the playoffs. Almost did another run but WR dropped the 4th down ball.

Can someone give me a quick breakdown of the @IrishDawg42 , @BearsWillWin , @dlinebass5 discussion?

I think there is something in there worth diagnosing and chatting about, but having a brief recap will let me know whether or not to bother. lol

  18. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

    I wouldn't bother...

Is this the crux of it?

Or is there more to it?

I think its an advantage to the defense if the offense is further away from the goal line on a passing play. Whether Tom Brady, Peter Tom Willis, or Jesus F'n Christ himself is under center. Irish thinks the extra 15 feet of space benefits the offense.

    In a nutshell.
