This really is something. Watson got over pretty good because he can still get a new contract after 4 full seasons if he doesn’t pull an AB.
What else is he supposed to say? There is no way you can say no we wouldnt have done the trade because you are in neck deep at this point. Now you might point out he didnt hesitate which he didn't but maybe just maybe he knew that question was going to come up and was prepared to go yes as soon as it did? He'll say until his dying day he would have made the trade.
Again, you knew damn well I was giving an opinion BECAUSE as you said I wasn't in the room. Opinion can be implied.

Too much tension to answer that right now about an extension after a suspension. Do you think he'll up his contribution to his pension?
Do we start talking about what happens if Jacoby goes out and wins 8+ games? If the team is 8-3 or 9-2, can they pull him for the dipshit? That’s a long way off… probably shouldn’t speculate just yet.
$230M GUARANTEED plus the media circus to get Watson. He'd start and Brissett would be traded/cut next offseason to avoid further controversy
Realistically... what's this team looking like after 11 games with Jacoby Brissett? I've seen optimistic Browns fants point to his 7-8 season in Indy but over his last 11 starts: 220 of 371 (59.3%) 2,234 yards (6.0 YPA), 8 TD (2.2%), 5 INT (1.3%), 26 sacks (2.4 PG) and a 78.2 QB rating. No longer a Browns fan, but still a big Nick Chubb fan. That said... with a QB producing those numbers in a very QB-friendly offense, you can count on Nick Chubb facing more nine-man fronts than any other RB. A dearth of receivers for Cleveland is only going to exacerbate that. I think 3-8 is realistic (New York, Atlanta, and Miami) but I don't see a winning record in there.
Realistically, I think you are right, 2-3 wins is probable, but if the defense stays healthy and wins a couple of games for them, they could get 4 wins by surprising a team with Brissett at QB. unless he shocks the world and gets them 7 wins, the season is over before it begins. Watson hasn’t played competitively in nearly two years. There’s going to be some growing pains.
The real question is how do you guys like smoked brisket, because TJ will be firing up the grill week three on Thursday night.
At the moment, there IS NO offseason for Brissett with Cleveland. He's only under contract for the 2022 season. In fact, the only QB under contract next season is Watson.
What would you guys think of acquiring Rudolph from the Steelers in a trade. He would be a much better option than Smoked Brisket. It was proposed on Steelerdepot. I’m not crazy about it because I think he would keep you guys in the playoff hunt until Watson got back. I don’t know how him and Myles would get along either. They proposed a fifth rd pick .
