Assuming the NFL doesn't appeal. They have 3 days to appeal Robinson's decision.

The Browns were 30-to-1 to win the Super Bowl on Sunday at BetMGM. On Monday, those odds were shifted to 20-to-1 with the news that Watson would be available for the final 11 games of the season. Their odds to win the AFC moved from 16-to-1 to 11-to-1.

The way the CBA is written in regards to the new process, yes, Goodell could say exactly that, but I really don't think they will. I think both the league and NFLPA want this new system to work to take the eyes, and blame, off the league when it comes to punishment. In the long run, I think the ones that will regret the new system the most are the owners who will no longer be exempt from real punishment.

The only way they would have gotten away with Goodell not being able to change it is if she had stated frankly that there wasn't enough for a suspension at all. At which point the process would end, with nothing further. Since she stated that he did violate the conduct policy, it opens the 3 day window for either the player via the NFLPA or the league (Goodell) to appeal the process, which Goodell then becomes the appeal process, just like it used to be.

Again, I would be surprised if they rock the boat on the first case under the new process.

    Agree to disagree my friends:cheers:

Defensively, I agree that we have a plethora of talented player that can make things exciting. Yet, call me a curmudgeon in training, until the Browns front can generate a pass rush with the front 4 I'm not sold that they will be able to beat the better QB's and higher powered offenses (see LAC game 2021).

Ultimately, my level of confidence in the coaching staff is not at the highest level. I agree that the talent is there, but given how they managed the team last year leaves me on the fence about just how ready the coaching staff is to elevate to the next level.

With or without Watson's impending suspension and the Browns Schedule. "IF" they are 4-4 at the buy I'll be surprised.

Not trying to be contrary or argumentative, but . . .

The NFL is first and foremost a business. In the past, they have clearly demonstrated more concern for the acceptance of their customers than providing clear guidelines for their associates whose actions may or may not alter their customer's acceptance. In other words, they react to public opinion first and then circle back and modify their policies to match their reaction.

The NFL's customers come in all shapes, sizes, colors and gender. In Watson's case, the most vocal group of fans have been females and the majority of public opinion (based on numerous opinion polls) indicate the female fanbase is venamently opposed to the suspension coming in at only 6 games.

I fear that the NFL is going to appeal the suspension, invoke at least a 1 year suspension and then legal armageddon will ensue.

I'll be surprised if they go 4-4 as well. Looking at that schedule, there's no reason they shouldn't be at least 6-2 at their "buy"... (assuming they make the right purchase)

When I realize that the Steelers just scored more points than they ever did in their history in a single game.

Will you drink a couple of Iron Cities with me to celebrate the Steelers big crushing of the Browns?

FACT: Not sure if you are aware. The worst beating in Steeler history came from the Browns, and it was in Three Rivers Stadium, Opening Day , 1989.
