If he is so impressive, why did we sprint to the podium to select Picket?

If he's such a loser why did they write him a check for 5.25M?

p.s. If they cut him his cap number goes from 3.66M to 5.25M. Still wanna cut him?

They aren't cutting him.. He will be a good segway to Pickett. I don't think anyone expects Pickett to start day one, but honestly, Pickett was the one guy I hoped the Steelers didn't get. I'm not high on this class, but Pickett and Ridder, imho, are the only ones that have a chance at success. They have the tools, but as with all prospects, we will see if they can use them in the NFL.

You and I know you don't cut a guy you just gave a 5M signing bonus to but not everyone does. Personally, I think he has a higher ceiling than Pickett but I'd be happy to be wrong about that. Only time will tell.

Alex Highsmith increased his sack Total from 2 - 6 this past year, what do you think he has to do this in his progression so the Steelers aren’t looking for an upgrade after next year? I like the Will Anderson kid out of Alabama 17 1/2 sacks last season. Also how legit is Andre Carter out of Army 15 1/2 sacks last year?

I think Alex needs at least 10, needs to produce double digits this year.

I think the coaches have more trust in Wallace, Duvernay, and Proche behind Bateman than most are, including many Ravens fans. It's a wait and see moment. The fans said we had no RT when Rick Wagner was set to start, and no C when Ryan Jensen was next man up. Both played out of their minds that seasons, fans were wrong. Then again, fans said we had no WRs when Boldin got traded while the coaches were confident in Tandon Doss, Jacoby Jones, and some undrafted guys behind Torrey Smith. The coaches were wrong on that one. This is a serious wait and see moment

    I still
Think they should have traded the 2023 4th to jump
Up and grab Travis Jones. Mark my words he is going to give Pittsburgh fits the next 4 years.

100% agree, don’t know why they didn’t send a scout there.

He was shoving Hoodies Cole Strange backwards like a blocking sled at the Senior Bowl. Jones was a too 50 talent on a lot of boards. I think he was versatile enough to even slide up and down the line in sub packages. Time will tell but I’m going to be that “Told you so” guy when he proves me right. The OT Dallas took, Tyler Smith, is 3X the player New England selected just 5 spots later. He was another pound the table for guy on my list . Pickens… we shall see, injuries scared me I liked Skyy Moore much better.
Good article on draft strategy in PPG , for the pure speculation saying Pittsburgh could have gotten Pickett at 52. I tend to agree that Detroit or Atlanta would have taken him . Gary Dulac is a straight shooter and even he gave the draft a WTF grade.

Re Connor Heyward: if Pittsburgh didn’t draft him you know who would have? Hoodie and the Blowpats. That is exactly what they look for in late rounds. The Cheaters come into town on September 18th. I hope Watt sacks the shit out of Matt Suck Jones and Oleszewski runs back a punt :)

Luckily we didn’t draft an Alabama WR. Ruggs is a piece of shit who I hope gets out of prison in his 40’s. Now Jerry Jeudy was arrested in Denver for withholding a car seat and a wallet. Give these jerks money and it goes to their head. Calvin Ridley just walked away in 2021. I give him credit for seeking help but what a waste of a first round pick.

you think getting money now is bad, let’s give the kids in college a shit ton of money to enter the transfer portal and come to our school, Pandora’s box was opened once it was voted that the college players could get paid. Look what Addison did to Pitt.

Tuitt retirement is going to be an Achilles heel For the umpteenth tome: The pick was Travis Jones DT UConn. Leal is undersized and will get washed out. In a weak DT class you dont take the 15th rated WR you take the # 2 DT

Aren’t all teams supposed to be wearing those things for reduced concussions during drills and scrimmages?

  17. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

Yes, but only linemen, TEs and LBers

The Steelers must be in favor of the things because everyone was wearing them

And Faker Mayfart is now gone for a 5th rounder,LOL, unless he unseats Darnold and plays 70% of the snaps. Then….. drumroll he becomes a 4th rounder. Serious shoulder injury to a diminutive QB does not equal longevity. My $.02
