,why not jus have everyone off at the midway point then you dont give any team an advantage or disadvantage.

 

The one good thing about spreading them out is there is no off weekend without football, but they could do the AFC one week and the NFC another in the mid-season and that would be cool.

 

Because you'd be asking the NFL to give up a weekend of gates and TV revenue, AKA about $3.5 billion.

It's a great idea for the fans. One many have pondered....

Something tells me the chances of that happening are not too good. What do you think?

 

TV revenue might change but the gate money at the end of the year would be the same.

The physical nature of the game makes it where you could not use the pro bowl to keep attention that weekend. A skills challenge might be be a possibility but then you have players not resting and still have a chance for injury.

To bad they couldnt do an NFL draft that would would allow them to keep intrest for the weekend.

Could make it where rosters expand at the mid season and they could draft free agents and practice squad players (allowing each team to protect a certain number). Sure doesnt sound like much but you slap the nfl on ot and it will make money. Heck do a cheerleader compitition.

 

I don’t even think tv revenue would change. There would be 8 games per week if you did that. There are currently 4 nationally televised games each week, Thursday, Sunday afternoon, Sunday night and Monday night. Easy to match up 4 games each week from each conference. No money lost at all.

edit: sorry I missed the quotes post… I thought it was the one before where they said do AFC one week and NFC the other. I somehow missed the ALL off the same week.

 

It's pretty simple.. Hopefully the NFL hires me to set this shit up for them next year.

Going to just post this here on the off chance I dont make any changesnto leagues in associated with lsn I live in the area hit by the tornado early Saturday evening. Came through in one piece and home is intact (I'm very fortunate). However power is out and is a work in progress as to when it may be back on who knows. That being said having to save as much of battery power as I can. Internet throught the city is down as well so even at work my tablet will not be an option either. So if you see a bunch of injured players in my line up as we head into next weeks gamea that could be why.

Glad to hear you are safe! Terrible thing, these tornadoes. So many families/people with losses. My heart goes out to all affected.

 

Crazy the number of games i had this year where my qb was outscored by the wr he was throwing to (who of coirse was always going against me).

 

That was painful to watch last night, but...

First thing I noticed was only 1 player from Georgia!

Well 8 of the Georgia playes were defensive players. Add in 2 OL and 1 punter and it makes a little more sense that only 1 made the top 25.

 

Also Georgia doesn’t use their offensive players as work horses, they rotate their RBs and WRs so much that none of them have overly impressive stats.

 

Which lineup would you rather have in a PPR…

QB Herbert, RB R. Stevenson, WR M. Evans, FL T. Hill

or

QB D. Prescott, RB N. Chubb, WR J. Smith-Schuster, FL S. Barkley
