Steelers Draft and Mel Kiper sucks thread!!

I'm not advocating it by any means but,it seems like they are building a vertical offense for Pickett that will free up Najee underneath. They've picked up some OL guys in free agency and now they're finishing with the draft.

Whatever they're doing, I hope it works.

 

I feel that Conner could’ve been had in the top of the 7th, was there no safety, CB, or OT that has more upside? Do they not have more holes to fill??

 

It's interesting if that is in fact the actual strategy, because two out of the 3 quarterbacks on the roster are not known for connecting on the deep ball.

 

That's exactly what I thought and Pickett's scouting report is very clear about that

Long for LB connor Heyward will be a good ST player and he is an emergency RB when you can only dress 45 having a versified and productive player. But WTF 2 QB’s???

I knew if they didn’t select a QB in the first 3 rounds they would definitely select Oladukin the last round. They scouted him pretty good. I can’t believe they didn’t draft a SS at all, not even a UDFA. It blows my mind.

 

This is all too funny!! The Ratbirds picked a punter over Calvin Austin, didn’t draft a WR and traded away one. Bateman is going to be really busy!

I just wish we would get rid of Trubisky now. We could use the cap room to sign some other needs for the team. We could have signed The Honey Badger instead.

 

And yet it can be argued they had a better draft than the Steelers

Word is he will sign with the saints. If the steelers were 100% going QB Tribs should have never been sogned to start with and then maybe we could have snagged the honey badger.

 

That was a head scratcher for me, until I heard that Sam Koch is 39 and will be 40 when the season starts. Made a lot more sense then. If Calvin Austin had graded high with them, they would have taken him instead of a second TE. I trust EDC

it is a head scratcher when they were still considered weak in that room before the draft, then they waive Boykins, then trade Brown and don’t draft a receiver. Didn’t read anywhere but did they grab any UDFA’s? They will have to keep their ears close to the waiver wire.
