Thanks! Today has been the main slow patch. But this is what drafts that run based on a true schedule are always like. We're not used to doing things that way. The main two experimental things were not requiring approval for trades and no autopicks. In retrospect, the trade part worked perfectly - especially after we knocked out the third person confirming things. It's easier for all of you and definitely easier for whoever is moderating. For going without autopicks, I do think that needs a tweak next time around... if I want my next draft to run on a fixed schedule, I should design it that way and go full-tilt scheduled picks. To go this approach (letting picks get skipped), in the future the better way to do it would be to not wait until the next 15 minute time slot and let the next person pick immediately after the previous person. That way the "feel" of the draft gets back to normal immediately. But... this draft was meant for experimenting and putting that sort of thing to the test. And now we know. So as a whole, I'm very happy with the way that all of this has turned out.. And I should add that all of the GMs here have done remarkable jobs representing the teams. We have an impressive group on this forum. Thanks to everyone for taking part, staying patient, and making this thing so much fun.
I actually loved the format. Short of a couple of slow downs, it went off without a hitch. Being able to go in 15 minute time frames seemed to work out pretty good also.

I'm sure turf_toe will be ready at 4:30....After he had me screwing around all morning trying to trade up for Tampa, his target is about to fall right into his lap. lol!
It’s also nice having it flow right into the real draft. Thinking about picking in this has taken the edge off of anxiety over who your favorite team will pick tomorrow.
Just a 'heads up' - I'll be on the road for my next two picks and I do not have the ability to put together a list right now. I'll be able to jump back on around 7:20-40, so just let me time out and I'll get my picks in as soon as I get back to civilization.
Hmmm.... the only questionable thing here is that you didn't give the Ravens fans any legitimate reasons to hate you, which I thought was your goal... I like the scenario with you taking Pickett at #3. It wasn't expected, but it's logical.
The experts are all over the place on the QBs in this draft. I’ve seen 5 picked before the Steelers pick at 20, and then polar opposite with the Steelers picking the first QB at 20. Really seems like too much unsure feelings for them.
Just to elaborate . . . I agree with the no 3rd party confirmation of trades. I disagree that it's easier on the moderator.
