In his defense, he did get shot trying to protect some complete stranger (female) from getting beat up... Bullets can't stop this guy.
Absolutely. Great story, that he told this morning in detail on GMFB (NFL Network)....It was pretty emotional. They weren't expecting him to go into it like that. It was life or death situation, and you could tell he was feeling it just talking about it. He credited his roommate at the time (Pete Werner) for helping get him the medical attention he desperately needed.
BEARS draft summary: Chicago needs WRs so that Justin Fields has someone to throw to. I got a potential #1 WR (if he can stay healthy) and two (so far) prospects with good size/speed combinations. Chicago needs guys to help block, so that Fields can stay upright long enough to find those WRs. The real GM signed one free agent OT this week who might start, I drafted another (who will start at guard) and then a guard who may challenge for the other starting OG spot. Chicago needs a bit more depth in the secondary. I took a CB who can play right away and a developmental safety.
As an absolute lover of Ohio State, Justin Fields is a C quarterback that may be closer to Baker Mayfield than any other quarterback result in the NFL. The Bears best bet would be find a way into the first round high enough to get Olave or Wilson (Two recievers who make up for his faults that know his style). Otherwise, it will be another long season of limited talent to throw too.
That was my initial reaction too. But it's kinda hard to do when your first pick is #39. I did snag Justyn Ross though.
Had to double check to see which team I was picking for... Panthers select Kaleb Eleby, QB - Western Michigan
