Reminder for Monday through Wednesday... 15 minute time windows. Rounds 4-7 will be fast and furious. Right now there are no missing / open picks, so we have been able to get a bit ahead of schedule. But if we do have missed picks, we'll need to stick to the schedule. You can always leave lists with someone you trust. And if you're late, you won't be autopicked - just pop by and make the pick as soon as you can.
Yes, it did. Kiper did make himself look bad in his two rants though. The Colts GM bailed him out by making Kiper into the story and inadvertently skyrocketed Kiper's career.
lol! Uhmm...Is it Because "mock draft" guys are expected to be right? You ask Mel on the spot about any prospect and he will bring the knowledge.. Does anyone think they'd be interested in doing the extra draft pick challenge with picks 143-162? Or should we just do 60-69?
I don't mind if he's right/wrong about a prospect eventually making it. And he has chilled out a lot in the last 20 years, without a doubt. But when I say he was frequently wrong in those early days, I mean about simple facts, not about guys turning out to be good players or not. Like the example I gave where he didn't even know that Justin Griffith was a fullback.

Kiper has done more for the draft, and getting people excited about the draft from the fan perspective, than anyone ever...I remember his news magazines when I was a kid because that's all there was. That was it. It's a shame ya'll got upset about his take on your first rounder back in 92, or ya didn't like the way he talked about the prospects of your team moving forward, but don't hate on Mel. He's just doing his job. A unique job that he created and has become hugely successful from.

I think that is pretty undisputable. If not for Kiper I am probably not here doing this right now. He spawned an industry. He may not be "the best" at it but he was the force that drove it into existence and set the path for everyone else.
