I actually thought about trying to kick off the draft one day earlier, just so we would be lighting it up on 4/20.
Yep. Gid specifically offered to take a team that didn't start until today. That was perfect - we had a team that fit his schedule, and we were able to have one less team be auto-assigned to Tim or me.
Heads up that you do have a comp pick coming up this evening. 3-38 (102) on the schedule for 9:20-9:40 pm ET tonight.
Gotta say, kinda liking the 30 minute windows. Bit more like real television. Really makes you want to stay on the ball
Do you mean the 20 minute windows? Or not having the auto-picks, and the way it suddenly made it interesting to see a team be late?
Pats have a few players we are interested in we don't think will make it to our next pick (127) and would like to move up to the late 3/early 4 range as long as one of those guys is available. 127 & 158 to get as high as we reasonably can. Would consider throwing one of our 6’s with a 7 coming back to get it done. caveat - probably won’t be checking in much if at all the next couple hours so if you’re looking to make a deal with an OTC pick before 6:30- 7:00 PM EDT I may not get back to you in time.
I'm glad to see some of the experimental things working out okay. Still thinking 15 minutes might be a problem since it will be during the work week, but at least with it being the late rounds it won't completely wreck the draft if a bunch of picks end up being late. The other cool thing about it to consider for scheduling future mocks is that 20 minutes lets you get in 50% more picks per day vs 30 minute windows, giving you more flexibility with the schedule. That lets you end earlier each night, start later each day, wait until 1pm to start on Sunday, etc. And then maybe cut it to 15 minutes just for rounds 6-7.
