    Interesting that for the third night in a row, after 9pm things get quiet here in a hurry.

    Kinda makes me wonder if it might be a good idea for future mocks go from 8am - 10pm or maybe even 10am - 10pm.

    @RTTRUTH still OTC...

  7. StlCrtn Franchise Player Steelers

    Yeah it has unfortunately. It always seemed like in years past, the collab draft was buzzing from 8-11pm

    Sorry guys. I feel like I'm checking every 15-20 minutes. But two picks in a row I look down and it's been like 40+

    I'm really intrigued by that Troy Anderson. Played QB and S in high school. RB/QB/LB at Montana State. Today he would probably be in the top 15% of the NFL at the LB position athletically. Coming from a smaller school and not having played LB very long he has lots to learn. But the sky might be the limit for him. Has prototype size, prototype speed, and when he's had a chance he's looked incredibly instinctive. Many scouts are saying he could be the best LB in this draft in coverage...something Robert Saleh's scheme appreciates (they're always trying to convert Safeties to LB [currently list Jamien Sherwood and Hamsah Nasirildeen at LB]).

    I was a bit torn between 3 different guys (all from different positions). But ultimately looked at the value of who I might get later at all 3 and IMO this is the swing for the fences. Playing against Josh Allen's Bills twice per year and a disciplined Belichick team, we're going to need someone special at all 3 levels. And I think with 1-2 years of seasoning behind or beside CJ Mosley this guy could become a superstar. Love it in hindsight, even if I miss out on both other guys I was considering.

    There used to be several of us that worked late nights, so we'd get ahead of schedule during the day then have a lull around 11pm, and then have some more late night activity between midnight and 2am.

    I love the small school athletes, but I always have trouble pegging the right spot to take them because of the level of competition. Am I gonna need more than one year to get the guy up to where he's able to contribute? If so, big problem since I only have him under contract for four years.

    Agree. But honestly in today's NFL I think you generally expect to wait one year. If it's going to take more than that, fire your position coach, fire your DC, this is the NFL in 2022. You can have one redshirt season, but by year 2 you better be bringing something, even if you aren't at full potential yet.
