If Dean fell to the Bengals, very few teams would be able to run on them. We saw them control some of the best running backs in that game without him, add him to the mix, every team would become a pass first offense against them and would take away Jackson and Watsons biggest threat, their legs with a LB spy in Wilson or Dean.
You might want to re-evaluate... It might take more than Dean to stop Chubb. In two games last year he ran for 9.79 ypc and 6.44 ypc respectively against the Bengals. As for Watson, as much as I don't want him on our team until this outside business is over and he is exonerated, BUT... Watson doesn't actually run very much. He only runs 5-6 times per game, compared to Lamar at 11 times per game.

They kept Derek Henry to 3.1 ypc, They kept Akers 1.6 YPC, they didn't allow a single rusher in the playoffs to over 100 yards rushing. Add a Dean speed to Wilson's intuativeness and Pratt's aggressiveness, they become a second level wall, with some room for mistakes.
