There was an internal debate inside my head between Linderbaum and Watson.. The fact that which ever QB starts needs to stay upright to get it to whichever receiver he is trying to throw to won out.
For your reading pleasure (and reference for planning trades), there is a tab on the spreadsheet named "misc junk". I have posted everything I know about 2023 picks being traded there. It's actually kind of amusing to sift through it all. I'll add 2024 when I get the chance.
Thanks for all you are doing... very cool. That goes to all working behind the scenes. This has been a great mock. So far... it is early
I had a good offer but I couldn't pass on him. I gotta take my guy. Big need for a contender and it's almost a gift pick at this point.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the whole thing won't fall apart when we go to 15 minutes per pick on Monday morning. Huge thanks to Lyman for designing the spreadsheet and especially for filling in all the league's picks. I automated the formulas for times (that was the 1/48 joke earlier - 30 minutes is 1/48 of a day, so to get the end time, the formula is start time + 1/48) and filled in the participants, but he already had the preliminary schedule with all the picks set up and ready to roll. And thank you to everyone participating and for taking on extra teams as needed. I wasn't sure if we'd have enough people around to do a mock at all this year.
Looking at those future pick trades, if I'm Stephen Weatherly I'd feel insulted. That trade happened in October 2021 (midseason). Apparently a 2022 seventh rounder was too high a price, so the Vikings threw in a 2023 seventh rounder along with Weatherly just to unload him. Ouch...
Add Kenny Young and Mark Ingram to the insulted list. In October 2021, the Broncos and Rams agreed to swap 2024 sixth for seventh round picks as the price tag for Young. Four days later, Houston shipped Ingram to the Saints for a 2024 seventh rounder.
