The full schedule is up and we're open for business - feel free to start trade talks if you are so inclined ! Picks start tomorrow. Or... it's 4/20... so enjoy, if that's more your kind of tea and you're in a state or country where that sort of thing is legal...
For whatever reason, it's very important for RT to get Mr. Irrelevant. lol! Well done once again Truth. PACKERS, SAINTS, RAIDERS open for business.
Quick reminder on trades, since that's going to be a bit different this year... Suppose that LAOJoe is GM of the Macon Mudskippers and RT is GM of the Boise Spuds. They work out a deal where Macon trades Robert Muldoon, a 5th round pick and a Chicken Parm to Boise for Jim Slade, a 6th round pick and a BLT. LAOJoe would post a message listing the trade (being sure to name the specific picks involved). RT would then post a reply message, adding that he agrees to the trade. Any other person who happens to be around - say, TopDawg - could then confirm that Robert Muldoon and Jim Slade really are on those rosters and that they have the picks they named. (We'll trust them on the sandwiches.) And that's it. The trade is done, and they are free to use those picks and enjoy those sandwiches. We might drop the confirmation requirement if it gets to be a hassle, but we'll start out with it in place at least for round one.
Actually no. I believe it’s @LAOJoe that usually goes out of his way to end up with it. I can’t honestly say with certainty that I have ever had Mr. Irrelevant
Usually it is me. I actually don't go out of my way to get it but if I'm working a trade with whoever has the pick I usually try to work it in.
Alright 2 things here: 1) Is there a good person to leave a list with? Between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm is the "bedtime window" for my son and that's when both my picks are due tonight. I'll try and be here in real time though. 2) If you want to make a deal for picks 5 or 7 doing so before I am on the clock might be a good idea because of the above. I'm very much cool with it being contingent on your guy being there and all that.
I should be around. I'm posting pick #6 anyway, so I could even give you the heads up if you aren't going to get your top choice for #7.
I’m here Xinik if you need to leave a list. As well I’m handling the Jets so picking close to you. But your list won’t affect my selections. Already know 100% what pick 4 is. Pick 10 I might trade out of. But either way, not affecting what I do
Just a quick question.. Are we sticking strongly to the schedule or are we allowed to pick ahead of schedule based on when previous picks are made? Just curious. I am going to try and be on here as much as possible, but will attempt to be on even more if we are going to do immediate picking, instead of inside your window.
If there are no open picks ahead of you, feel free to go ahead and post yours. But don't feel obligated to hang around just to post it early. .
You might be able to get in both picks before putting the kid to bed. RT will be here, so you can announce #5 right after he does #4. I'll post #6 as soon as I see that your #5 is in, and then you can post #7 and be done with it. As a side note, I'm not planning on trading down from #6. I would normally be eager to trade down from #8, but I'm not doing the Falcons this year. So I get to chill out and see what rabbit Joe's brother pulls out of the hat.
Just curious... did everyone pick up on the references, or was I too obscure / too old with the movies?
*** TRADE *** Seattle Seahawks receive: QB, Baker Mayfield Cleveland Browns receive: Pick 2-9 [41] (Browns will pay 71% of Mayfield's 2022 contract - $12.8M)
If I’m being honest, I knew they had to be references but couldn’t tell you from where. So yeah, kinda dated yourself a bit lol
