Amusing side note... I made sure I gave Washington to Tim rather than keeping them myself... ... because if I was their GM, my first move would be to change the team name from the Commanders to the Generals.
Just to keep everyone up to speed, I plan to fill in the remaining teams and then post the full schedule tomorrow afternoon. But just to whet everyone's appetite, here's how Thursday evening (first 8 picks) is shaping up: (All times Eastern) 6:00pm - 6:30pm: Jacksonville (@Lyman ) 6:30pm - 7:00pm: Detroit (@StlCrtn ) 7:00pm - 7:30pm: Houston (@IrishDawg42 ) 7:30pm - 8:00pm: NY Jets (@RTTRUTH ) 8:00pm - 8:30pm: NY Giants (@xinik ) 7:30pm - 8:00pm: Carolina (@Torgo ) 9:00pm - 9:30pm: NY Giants (@xinik ) 9:30pm - 10:00pm: Atlanta (@Falcons Guy) So if you want to make The Big Move and trade up for one of those picks, those are the people to contact. (EDIT: I'm now GM for Carolina's pick at #6.) After Thursday, we'll be going from 9am to 11pm each day. Round 1 continues Friday morning with Seattle (@turf_toe ) at pick #9 from 9:00am - 9:30am. The time windows will be 30 minutes per pick for rounds 1-2, 20 minutes for round 3, and 15 minutes for rounds 4-7. Yes, that's fast, but it can't be helped if we're going to get the whole thing in before the real draft starts. On the plus side, using 15 minutes for the later rounds also means that we don't have to go 8am to midnight every day. Trading in the later rounds will obviously be more hectic, but I think not needing approval will help - we'll just have to see how that works out. Doing the first 8 picks on Thursday means the rest of rounds 1-2 fit on Friday/Saturday, with us reaching the final pick of round 2 at the final time slot on Saturday. We'll have all of Round 3 on Sunday (at 20 minutes per pick) and kick off Round 4 on Monday morning. Round 7 wraps up next Wednesday, and if we can fill in any missing picks that night or the next morning, we should even be able to throw in some UDFAs before the real draft kicks off. (UDFAs are totally optional, of course. Just some extra fun for those who want to go that far.) I also have a different version of a Draft Value Challenge game in mind for this year. I'll probably announce that at the end of the weekend.
Would you like the Dolphins? They don't pick until Sunday either - their first pick is two picks ahead of the Rams.
Of the teams remaining, Carolina would be my preference if you are still looking for GM's. Any but Baltimore would be fine actually.
I have you in for Tampa. That work? Keep in mind that after #6, Carolina doesn't pick again until the 4th round. If you'd like to switch either the Bucs or the Rams for another team, let me know. You can take any of the Panthers, Broncos or Bears instead.
Perfect! Because I think you'll do a better job for them than I would. (I'd be looking at their roster and thinking they really, really need more depth at long snapper, shortstop, and goalie.) @TopDawg - RT switched over to the 49ers and gave you those bums from Nevada.
Many thanks to Lyman for designing the speadsheet ! Team/GM list is on the Participants tab of the spreadsheet and also on the first post in this message thread.
Pshaw !!! All I did was share an old GMO spreadsheet with Torgo. He added the "VLOOKUP" function for participants. Now, if picks are traded, all that has to be done is enter the team receiving the pick and the participant updates automatically.. He also automated the pick window cells which was a major pain in the ass to input.
