Had a conversation yesterday regarding Wilson and his potential trade from the Seahawks.

Looking to get a feel from the crowd here on what the likelihood of a deal may be, and where he may end up.

I said more than 80%. I don't know if I really think it's that high but it's MUCH closer to that than 50% for me. Seattle has some studs but they have a lot of cap problems and as of right now are a clear 4th place. I'd argue the 49ers could go from almost SB to last next year but the thing is they are the only team that didn't make the playoffs and the one that wasn't in the NFCCG lost to the possible SB Champ. Russ also just asked to know where Seattle is thinking of sending him so he can consider if he wants to waive his NTC. After the success of Stafford with the Rams I think Teams would jump at the chance at him. It won't be a discount or at least much at all though because teams know the Seahawks could just keep him and a new Season of success or money management could keep him in Seattle past next offseason when he's a FA. Seattle likely is motivated enough and teams want him enough for a deal to happen. The question to me will be if Russ is willing to sign an extension to any team immediately. If he doesn't the prize drops and things could get funky.

Does Pittsburgh look like a fit?

I'm saying it doesn't happen. Every year we hear about the potential for some franchise QB to get dealt, and more often than not, nothing happens. I don't think Rodgers will go anywhere either, for what it's worth. Russell and Rodgers stay with their respective teams - I'll be happy to be wrong, but I'm going with history over hype right now.

I think they are starting a rebuild and would be better off trading Wilson to get picks to help that along.
