I thought so too Turns out, the chiefs/team who has the candidate of color gets the picks. Which really makes no fucking sense/doesn’t really incentivize anybody to hire a minority… NFL compensatory picks for minority coaches and executives explained
I’m ‘meh’ on this. Georgie and Ted were 2 of the 5 who made the call, and even though he’s got former experience on Super Bowl winning teams, pretty sure he had nothing to do with TB12 in NE, Rodgers in GB, or Mahomes in KC. Let’s see what he does. in theory, the bears still CAN get a 3rd round comp pick if someone hires Champ Kelly away
With luck Poles can speak without sounding like he has a dick stuck in his throat, unlike Pace. Hopefully Poles doesnt end up fucking the Bears. Pulling out at the last second would also be very anti-climatic. Total dick move.
Report: Steelers VP Omar Khan Not A Finalist For Bears GM Job - Steelers Depot I honestly thought he'd be the one if they could wrangle him away from the Steelers but he wasn't even a finalist apparently. Watch him go on to do awesome things. I'm not sure how I feel about this pick. Guess it doesn't really matter, we'll see what he does with the first portion and see who he hires for HC. Shit, with the lack of picks we won't even really know what kind of drafter we have for another few years. And I can't agree more on Sean Payton. If he's available throw ALL THE MONEY YOU CAN at this man. But, it sounds like he's stepping away because he's lost the passion? Can a brinks truck of money from the Bears combined with Fields reignite the passion? I can hope for a few minutes.
Unsure if BS or not as Sportsmockery isn't the most reliable--but this is pretty direct, and a welcome sight if true.
My thoughts were that the interview went something like this: Georgie: Ok Ryan, tell me a little about yourself. Ryan Poles: Well I'm from New York and was born in 1985-- Georgie: Did you say 1985?!!! You're hired!!!!!
I'm almost afraid to post anything anymore (You can only look like an idiot so many times) but I haven't seen any of you post this yet. Here goes: Report: New Bears GM Ryan Poles demanded control in hiring a head coach
There was a rumor it was in the event he doesn't get the Steelers job, they might bring him back next year to be the President of Football Ops? To me though it just seems like wishful thinking I think it's be awesome if he came in for the GM job and sold them on a future President role, but until we hear something even remotely more true, I think it's just the normal hot air.
Of the 3 finalists, I prefer him to Caldwell and Quinn. Dude has a mountain of a climb not to be a 2-3 years then done guy…
I assume he was since he made it a condition of his contract, and if he wasn't the earth would be shaking by now.
Well I made a thread and you fucks just want to ignore it. I guess we are probably switching back to a 4-3. Roquan will be an excellent Lance Briggs type WILL....who's the MIKE? That position becomes a need in the draft or FA.
