Leslie Frazier eliminated himself from HC consideration with his handling of the final 13 seconds in regulation against the Chiefs. At least in my mind.

 

IMO he never should have been a finalist. It’s 2022, I don’t want a coach who knows how to win like it’s 2005.

But the final 13 seconds weren’t on him. He did what every DC does in that situation, take away the sidelines and tackle them in the middle of the field making them burn a TO. Front 4 got pressure on Mahomes a lot of the game so rushing 4 would have been something I felt good about.

Kelce’s double move on a poor slot db to get that egregiously open before getting into FG range isn’t on Frazier, unless you want to argue doubling him, but then you leave Hill in a 1 on 1, which you just can’t do.
