Dude cares more about his alma mater’s success than that of the team he owns. Says all you need to know about where he’s at as an owner. Doubt he wants to shell out the $ it would take to get Harbaugh out of Ann Arbor when he still has to pay Flores for the next two years, either.
Harbaugh is in the middle of a renegotiation in his contract with Michigan. What do you want Ross to say? If being the word of intent here, Harbaugh is intent on going to the NFL after the renegotiation with Michigan fails (or just straight up doesn't want to go back) then I expect Ross to go after him (thats when he try his damnest, but not now). That being said I don't really focus on what an owner says as what an owner does. Stephen Ross has money. He is the 5th richest owner in the NFL. If he wants his friend to join him and he loves, not likes, loves Jim Harbaugh. He will pay whatever is needed to be paid.
Well I'm bored. Might as well throw it out there. Playoff predictions for Super WC Weekend; Bengals vs. Raiders...I'll make this my upset special. Vegas wins a thriller. Raiders 30, Bengals 27 Bills vs Pats...Emotion from Bills mafia, and Josh Allen carry Buffalo past the evil empire in the cold. Buffalo 23, New England 9 Bucs vs Eagles...I thought about calling for the upset here, but I think Tom has at least one more post season W in him. Tampa 26, Philly 20 Cowboys vs 49ers....Dallas was my preseason SB pick, so I gotta stick with them. This won't come easy. Dallas 34, San Francisco 30 Chiefs vs Steelers....Ben will struggle to keep this close. I think Chiefs roll without much trouble. Kansas City 40, Pittsburgh 20 Rams vs Cardinals...Tough to call, as both teams have been up and down. I'll say Rams in a nail biter. Los Angeles 31, Arizona 29
Bengals vs. Raiders - Bengals are my pick. At home should be a huge plus for Cincy. 31-24 Bills vs Pats - Bills in a close one. 17-14 Bucs vs Eagles - Cant bet against the Bucs with Brady... too much for Philly. 35-21 Cowboys vs 49ers - Cowboys, offensive game , but Boys on top. 38-31 Chiefs vs Steelers - Chiefs will be too much. Lopsided for KC, 42-17 Rams vs Cardinals - Murray shines in first playoff game in a close one. Cards, 31-28
Eagles slow start killed them again. I don't understand why it always takes forever for them to figure things out. Hurts had one of his worse games passing, ignoring anyone that wasn't Goedert for a while before not understanding you need to make a pass as soon as coverage is broken before help comes. Heck if he gets that TD Eagles instead of throwing that pick it's the Eagles on a last minute drive to tie it. It also hurt that the refs called holding on a big play where there was none and roughing the passer when he let up after being pushed into the QB. In the end I'm glad it was only a 2-score game but lots of frustrations to Hurts, the coaching, Reagor, the coaching on trusting Reagor, and a bit on the refs. I mean at least the Pats and Steelers got embarrassed worse but for a while it looked like they were giving the Pats a run for their money. I didn't expect a win or a narrower margin of victory, but at least not so ugly. Going to be an interesting offseason with 3 1st round picks and a decent amount of cap space with nobody costly really needed to be resigned. It was a rebuild year though and I'd like the Bills to finally win one before the minuscule chance they have to beat the Eagles to do so.
That is what is so positive about this season, looking to next year, the future could be very bright for this team.
Best point of reference this weekend had to come from Kyle Brandt when talking about how long it has been since Cincinnati had won in the post season - " To give you an idea of how long it's been. The last time the Bengals won a playoff game, the post game interview of winning QB Boomer Esiason, was conducted by O.J. Simpson."
You are a new hire NFL coach and you get to pick one to be your signal caller for the next ten years; 1. Pat Mahomes 2. Josh Allen 3. Joe Burrough 4. Kyler Murray 5. Justin Herbert Who ya got?
Has the NFL ever had so many great young QB's at once? My rating; #17 #9 #15 #10 #1 All are awesome talents.
Okay scratch Murray off the list after that last pass. lol! good lord! Challenging Branden Weeden for worst pass in NFL history on that one...
My answer would be no becauss in addition to the 5 listed you have several other young guys who have the potential to join that list. Fields in chicago, Jones in new england, Lawrence in jax.
Does Brady have 10 more years in him? I'll take Burrow but, there's an argument to be made for any guy on the list.
If you're not taking the guy that's already been to 2 SBs and is a serious threat to go to his 3rd this year....what drugs are you on?
