This 2022 is very deep at CB but Pittsburgh needs DL help and another OL player early. Really a bad mistake letting Matt Feiler walk, he looked good run blocking for SD. Tuitt being MIA has cost the Steelers at least 2 wins.

I was hoping the Steelers would lose out, they need too much help and would’ve loved to see them trade down to pick up more picks to get more quality depth. What we have now just isn’t cutting it.

 

We do have a decent cap for next year, I think we have to ink Fitzpatrick to a deal, not sure if he has 1 more year or not? Do we bring back Haden? 2 yr deal maybe. We need a starting nose tackle, Alualu needs to be moved to backup roll now. Also, not sure if you can trust Tuitt’s availability he hasn’t played a full season in his career yet I believe. We need better inside linebackers Bush is too small and doesn’t get off blocks. We also need some Veteren leadership on the OL along with a new Center.

 

Good qb not a franchise prospect . Will be over-drafted because of the position. Is he better than Mason Rudolf, that’s a question everyone will be asking

 

Needs going into 2022 offseason

OL - just terrible
CB - probably losing Haden not sure if we have a replacement
DL - need A starter and depth
QB - obvious reasons
ILB - Bush isn’t cutting it, gets swallowed up in blocks
WR - probably losing both JJSS and Washington
SS - might be losing Edmunds didn’t sign his 5th year option

just not enough picks to make up for the holes we have.

Liking Doubs, and Shakir in the mid to late rounds as far as WR goes Shakir’s speed can blow the top off the coverage. Bytes what’s your take?

 

Haden’s replacement might already be in the roster with Witherspoon, his play has been impressive as late.

and if you you’re going to say Bush is playing like crap, can’t leave out Schobert. He hasn’t played well either. Hoping Buddy Johnson pans out, would’ve liked to see him last night. That foot injury is concerning.

As for the OL, give these guys another offseason to see if they have something there. Green hasn’t looked very good, but give him another offseason before running him out of town. Moore has some upside. Leglue has looked ok, should be top interior backup. Can’t believe I’m going to suggest this but resign Chuks. Draft a T and have Banner battle for the backup spot. Definitely need a starting RG, not overly impressed with Turner.

for WR, resign Juju draft a speedster.

DL might not be as dire as it seems. Adams has shown great burst off the snap and they may have found something there. Loudermilk, Heyward, Davis and Buggs give you 4 that should make the roster. Tuitt hopefully returns and plays well next season. Alualu is getting long in the tooth but NT does not have to be on the field as much.

 

Even before the injury my feeling was juju would be back. I believe that even more post injury. At the very least he will sign another 1 year prove it deal. Washington is gone and I think he will be one of those we wonder why we let him go and why we couldn't use him right. Dont get me wrong he isnt turning into a #1 but I think he can be a solid #2 high end #3 for the right team.

 

Draft a bad ass NT like the one from Georgia and we won't talk about the run defense anymore.
We have a good base for a team, but who is our QB next season? If Rogers, Wilson or Watson become available we have to get one of them and start kicking some AFCN ass. We can't lose a season with great defensive players just to rebuild. This team is a great QB away from ruling the league.

 

Take BPA at DL or OL. Needs a WR that will take the top off agreed. ILB ppl at was horrible this year but OLB was very good. Get a CB in FA , maybe they finally found something in Norwood. Claypool needs coaching and maturity. Washington May perform with Rudolf tossing the rock. Agree on JuJu bring him back but not Tuitt .

I think they’ll need a solid number 3 OLB, not sure if Taco will be coming back and don’t get that warm fuzzy feeling about #48. Played ok, but shouldn’t be higher than 4th on the depth chart. That Roche kid would’ve been nice to keep around

 

I saw a bowl game. WR made tough catches over the middle wore #24 and he blocks like Hines Ward. Even has a bald head wish I could remember his name . Running game missed JuJu blocking that’s a fact

 

Quincy Roche Miami Giants grabbed him. We kept some other guy who didn’t equate preseason into regular season . Tomlin releasing #8 was tough but he new #56 needs reps . Hind sight is 20-20 but we’re getting similar production from #56 as we got from #48 just 1/4 the cost

 

They don’t pay attention to the OLB opposite TJ. I see them make tackles all the time unblocked.

 

highsmith plays the run well but he does bite on the option way too easy. Did it with Huntley and let him outside for a big gain, lost containment.

I also think JuJu will be back. They are infatuated with Ray Ray so he ismlikely back as well. Washington will be gone amd will actually perform well for whoever gets him.

I disagree completely on Kuntz good long snappers are not just plug and play. Its not like henwill be asking for a break the bank raise

 

I think a lot of this list is depth. They need it but they could sign the guys they like. None of the QBs are a must keep. Haden might be back and I like Witherspoon. Hope they make it back.

We'll see but, oline and QB are the biggest questions for me.
