Yeah and also caused locker room stirring by entertaining a trade for Watson while Tua is trying to become a better NFL QB.
Well, that's the thing - clearly this is the GM making the decision. Is it because they haven't gotten enough out of Tua, and he feels his job is in imminent danger? That's the only thing I can think of. But I think you need to give Tua more time - he's shown promise. I feel like this may be a panic / overreaction to something ownership has said, and that feels very Dolphins.
Off the top of my head, here are some HC candidates to consider: Doug Pederson Harbaugh Ryan Day Flores Josh McDaniels As for GM I have no idea. Hopefully a new President of Football Operations will be responsible for figuring that out instead of Teddy.
Ted Phillips currently not scheduled to be a part of the press conference.... Not saying...just saying.
Yup. Everyone else knew it. Fucking Bears wasted a year of everyone's time, while anyone with a brain knew what needed to happen. Halas Hall almost got rushed with torches and pitchforks this time a week ago, but they needed a full year more to figure it out. 1:00. Tell us. Relieve us of this horrible curse you've made us endure the last seven years. And hopefully don't give us a fucking new one.
Trying not to get my hopes up. But I will audibly shout loud enough to scare the neighbors if he's gone, too.
I honestly think Phillips is going to solely concentrate on moving the Bears to Arlington and the new stadium. Lots of rumors he will retire within the next couple years as well.
Colts Morocco Brown is an expected Bears GM candidate. Spent a good amount of time in Bears organization and that makes me not want him.
So, I have mixed feelings about this. For starters, I will ultimately be sad if the Bears leave Soldier Field. It feels like there are easier solutions for what plagues the relationship with the city / Soldier Field. But, if it means we get competent decision makers and the Bears actually play good football, I will take it. The real problem I have here is logistics. If the Bears are just now firing everyone and starting interviews for someone to run football ops on a grander scale, then hire a GM, then hire a HC (I suggest this structure only because it fits how the Bears tend to run things, rather than just giving a GM ultimate control), it sets the Bears REALLY far back on the timeline. They won't be getting first pick of the HC litter, and probably not the GM litter. This is lots of assumptions, and I don't want to be pessimistic on this day - it's just what I'm used to. I'm going to stop thinking and just prepare myself to hear the good news.
Wow i find that a big shock! I really rate Flores, damn good HC overall. Has a background in bad challenges as well so he'd fit right in line with Lovie then Fox then Word Salad. But seriously, my pref is for an offensive minded coach but i really think he should be on the short list. Im amazed they fired Flores. He reportedly was never a fan of Tua.
