Eagles playoff projection is really high right now. Odds are it's the 7 seed but the 5 seed is also a possibility (more likely than the 6th honestly.)

Eagles can clinch the playoffs next week.
They need a win at Washington,
Vikings to lose at the Packers,
PLUS
Saints losing vs the Panthers
OR
Saints losing vs the Dolphins today AND 49ers winning vs the Texans.

 

49ers are currently the 6 seed but do not control their own destiny. If they lose out and the Saints and Eagles win out then they are eliminated.

 

The wackiest playoff scenarios in the NFC happen if the 49ers lose to the Texans. Try it in a simulator and it feels like no matter what you do you get results you can't get any other way.

Nope. Right now it looks like the 49ers are the 7 seed if all 3 are tied but that is because the Saints have played less conference games. By the time the season is over the Saints will tie the 49ers in conference record if they win out and then it goes to common opponents which the Saints own.

Here is all 3 teams winning out. Fill in any other results as you will but the 49ers will never make it. Even if you have the Cardinals lose out all it does is bump the Cardinals down to 7 while keeping San Francisco out.

 

Joe...........what I really like about this years NFL playoff Runs is for Fantasy Teams.

There are only 3 Teams have clinched Correct.....GB ,Dal and KC correct.

This is the Final week in Fantasy Football and NFL Teams trying to clinch will be playing their Starters.

That rarely Happens and it makes very difficult to Set your Line-Up......if your Lucky enough to be in a Final.

Rams, Bucs and Cardinals too. 5 in the NFC and 1 in the AFC.

 

It is fun that alot of teams are still alive, but I wonder how many blowouts may occur in the Playoffs once they start... those arnt very fun to watch.

On the other hand, it will be interesting to see who the 9-8 team will be to make a deep run in the playoffs.

 

Well the 5 that clinched in the NFC already all look formidable. I've never been a fan of the 49ers this year. Always looked like they were average at best. At the risk of sounding like a homer I feel that after those 5 only the Eagles have a shot at making noise and that is only because they've hanged their game plan immensely in the 2nd half of the season. And at the risk of pandering maybe add the Vikings as well due to injuries but they really need to beat Green Bay. In the AFC it feels like any of the teams have a chance. If the Chiefs have a bye you can expect all the spreads relatively close fort he 1st round.

 

Colts vs Raiders is going to be interesting this week.

With cincy on the rise are the chargers the new bungles? Seems year after year no matter who the coach is or who the qb ismtheynfind a way to botch it down the stretch. Granted eckler was out but come on it was the texans.

 

I think Colts take it.
We’ve won 6 of our last 7, including on the road in Buffalo and Arizona (most of our starters honestly didn’t even play at AZ). Beat New England.
Are the Raiders actually better than any of those teams?

 

Colts should win but as far as playoff scenarios go this is the one game in the AFC that makes things wacky.
