Reading twitter almost makes me feel bad for the guy. Apparently fans were chanting "Fire Nagy" at his son's high school game last week. That's wrong. And now these rumors are out. Wait... why do I feel bad for him? He put himself in this position.
I don't want to go down the road of scapegoating him for all of this team's failures. Because that's what that little shit Pace is going to do to cover his own ass.
Yeah, but if you have an Offensive head coach (Nagy) and a killer DC (Fangio) they will ALSO get poached for a HC position. That door swings both ways. Having good coaches are sought after in this league. Hell you can have a Defensive minded head coach (Lovie) and his DC can leave (Rivera - granted he took a step back before moving up to HC and the Bears released him, but still). Door swings both ways. Hire the guy who's going to be the best HEAD coach, and can hire the right guys to be the Coordinators. Lovies problem was that he couldn't find an OC. Trestman and Nagy's problem is that they can't/couldn't hire anyone competent. At this point, we know who the fuck Nagy is. At no point outside of 2018 has this team shown even the faintest glimmer of not having a bottom dweller offense. And the defense has been a steady slide downward since Fangio departed (and I'd say the jury is still out on Desai, but at least he's a Fangio disciple, Chuckles was unmitigated dumpster fire bad given the talent he had to work with).
This just in. Stone Hands Bellamy sent down for 3 years for federal fraud lololol. Seems unlike Bellamy the Feds can make a catch Ex-Bears WR Josh Bellamy Sent to Prison for Fraud | Heavy.com
Report came of Trace Armstrong (Former Bear, Ryan Day’s agent) has been in talks with Bears about a front office position. He denied it on Twitter. This is what the team needs though. A football guy for the GM to report to.
In what role i wonder. Does he have any front office experience? That seems like a risky move for the McKlaskey's.
Interestingly he has spent most of his post playing days on the players side working with the NFLPA and then as an agent.
So he's become v experienced in player dealings. Maybe not so much actual scouting, interesting. Well i can think of one sweaty fuck id like to see him replace!
Also needs to be noted that Armstrong also represents Matt Nagy, Ryan Pace, Josh McDaniels, and Lincoln Riley on top of Ryan Day. I think it’s fodder just like “Nagy being fired after thanksgiving game.” Not just because the “insider” reporting it is idiot Jason la Confora, it just seems like a smart thing to do and I just don’t trust this team to do the smart thing plus it’s easy to quote nonexistent “sources” to let clicks/reaction/$$$ to roll in.
@patg006 ive been meaning to ask you, have you been watching much college ball this season. How do you feel about C/G options in the 2nd round for the Bears this draft? @dlinebass5 Same for you.
The kid from Iowa, Lindbaum, is going top 15-20. He’s the 2nd best OL in the class behind the LT from Bama going top 3. Meaning you pick between the Boston College kid Lidstrom, who I like best of the rest. Solid 2 way C. Then there’s Stromberg from Arkansas, who if your plan is to regress to run heavy offense, he’s your guy. Then there’s the ND kid, Patterson—who after having Bars and Mustipher—I don’t want any more ND Olinemen. He also is a run mauler like Stromberg, but unlike Stromberg, struggles to engage/square up speedy linebackers to help the back out getting to 2nd level and also struggles to pick up LB blitzes, which you’d prefer not to see from a 6’5, 310 lb OLineman. Also, from The draft networks scouting report: Patterson has a number of instances of getting tangled in traffic and ending plays on the ground; an easy point of emphasis is keeping his feet and not overextending his base. Sound like a C from ND we know/have now?
Unfortunately, I have watched zero college football this year. Planning to go back and watch film, pre-draft, but don't have my usual frame of reference. Wish I could be more help at the moment.
4th & Inches in a game your D cant get a stop and you choose to punt. Pussy. Down 17 at the end of the game and you take a FG. Pussy.
I'm not sure if there is anyone I personally hate more than Ryan Pace, and I've never met the guy. However the Bears eventually fire him, it'll be too good for him. He needs to be shamed and give the Bears fans that he's tortured some relief.
- Fields has already played a LOT more than i would've let him this season, but under these circumstances how can they in all conscience keep sending him out there. I mean with this coaching staff and this level of play around him how do you even evaluate Fields effectively. I didn't think Fields played very well last night but am i being too harsh? I counted def 5, possibly 6 drops last night, inc one that should've been a TD. There is zero help from these pass catchers. I lost count how many times Fields threw the ball with not one foot on the ground cos he had pressure in his face and was having to make jump-throws. If Fields wasn't crazy elusive in the pocket this would've been Cutler in New York. The Packers log 8-10sacks against almost any other QB in the league or 14 against Fat Ben. Not 1 lineman had a good game. - Tevin Jenkins was absolutely brutal. Yeah its his first game and he's been out a long time, but you cant be that bad in the NFL. The Packers were without their 2 best OLs and they put up almost 450yards of offense. If he's not ready to go or has looked that bad in practise then dont make him the backup behind a 40year old. If neither of those is true then.....yikes. Oh btw, i take it we all saw the play where Jenkins got lined up at WR? Really. How many reps during the week were wasted on that fuckery rather than have him practising playing Tackle after he's missed this much time. You fucking c_nt Nagy. - I would really like to see Cody Whitehair cut in the offseason. He's been dogshit a long time and im sick of him. He's not going anywhere tho cos he's got a contract that makes him unmovable. F you Pace. - I was a huge fan of ARob for a long time. Yes he should've been treated better but im beyond past that. Fuck this guy. Im actually struggling to think of a player ive seen dog it worse than he is this season. 2 catches on 6 targets which would've been 4 if he'd given any kind of a shit on two throws. And the final straw was that clip of him jogging out of bounds, MID-PLAY, when Fields had escaped the pocket and up the sideline and the only thing in his way was the defender Robinson should've been blocking. If he's ok putting his QB in further jeopardy like that cos he's checked out then he's done. Its not like you're losing anything. I would sit him down and tell him you are dressing for every one of the last 4games and you wont see the field for a single play. Let the whole team see it and know why. Its actually very dumb of Robinson. Taking that extra week to come back from injury, stepping OB a couple yards early, those are things you can get away with. But what he's doing this season, this is gonna cost him. He wants to get out so he can get top dollar somewhere else? Its not gonna happen. - Cole Kmet is a bum. That is all. - David Montgomery had 1, thats ONE, carry in the 2nd half. He had 10 rushes total of which at least 2 were wildcat. So he took max 8 handoffs last night. Unbelievable. - Quinn balled out once again and i particularly loved him doing the belt move right in Erin's face after that first sack. That said, i am officially in the patg camp of trade him while the value is highest. Some contender would love the chance to add him and would pay out for it. - The secondary of this team is still an unmitigated disaster. I actually miss Buster Skrine. There's no Nagy blame here, this one is 100% on Ryan Pace. Rant over. Feel better now, cheers.
