I don't have a stream for this one and I'm staying up late to watch it on game pass in a few hours, so I'll watch the condensed tomorrow, but I'm a little surprised there's not even a game thread.

I think that says all we need to know about how we feel about this franchise.

I'm NOT staying up late to watch it. From the game log / box score doesn't look like I'm missing anything.

I don’t care if Pitt kicks a FG to win this is a win in my book. This kid grew up tonight.

Yeah, my buddy is a steelers fan and was chatting with me so I knew what was going on, excited to see what the kid did on some of these throws. Figures the Defense gave it up late.

It's so weird, it's like that I am so immune to these losses that I'm numb, and when I saw the ball bounce off the crossbar I actually laughed.
I mean that moment captured what exactly is Bears' perfection in a fucking nutshell.

Sorry, that's on me. I had a big bad day. It totally slipped my mind.

It's not on you, at all. This thread had five replies, before my post. That's compared to the hundreds that threads have here when the fan base is even remotely engaged. It's not your fault, it's the Bears'.

I'm also going to go back and watch the condensed game for the sake of seeing Fields, but this fanbase is done with the team for as long as the current administration is employed, and rightly so. I hope the team figures it out, soon. I am completely apathetic to Bears football right now, which is quite an accomplishment.

It's interesting when you see this tiny percentage of Bears fans here so vocally opposed to so much of what is happening with the team (and to recognize that is a small part of a huge fan backlash; it has to make you wonder if there is any appreciation from the management/owners for the frustration of their fan base.

Easily the best game of the season. Fields showed exactly what we want to see from a franchise QB in leading that comeback against one of the toughest defenses in the league. And to have had all the calls go against us all night, the PF on Daniels wiping out a TD in the first half as one egregious example, Fields and the offense never gave up. Santos comes 1 foot away from winning the game. But it still counts as an L, which is important and positive for us in the long run. This is exactly the type of game that I need to keep my interest in the team the rest of the season.

I did that this morning. Definitely worth it.

Santos was a good 5 yards short. From the end zone angle it looked way closer. It would have hit from 61.

It's deceptive on the replay. Looks like it hit the crossbar.

There's so much potential here guys, he's growing as a pro QB. Love to see it.

    ^^^^^^^

I thought it hit the crossbar too on first viewing. But in truth it was well short. Santos doesn't have that kind of leg, im actually surprised he got it to 60.

Didn't like the decision to kick it, still don't. Chalk up another one for Brains.

Gotta be encouraged with how Fields played on the road against a good defense in prime time.

    Borom also showed some stuff.

Can’t expect a bad team to beat a much better team when they also have to beat the refs. So many awful calls and noncalls….just really bad stuff.

Another nail in the coffin in what will be a slow death for Matt Nagy. That is all.

I think the progress of Fields and other young players like Mooney playing well saves Pace. I don’t believe it should….but I believe he gets one more chance to hire a coach.

PFF has Justin Fields as the highest rated Week 9 QB and Jordan Love as the lowest.

Rewatching the game and that James Daniels call was god damn awful.

not only is he not outside the tackle box but he doesn’t even touch the defender.

    Just brutally bad.

I thought he was ok considering it was his first career start in that environment. The most encouraging thing I saw, from a Bears fan perspective, is that he seems to lack accuracy.
