Yea, but 15% of a billion dollars plus is what?

  2. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

They're STILL getting 85% of a billion dollars plus.

I get your point. But since when have you noticed the NFL leaving ANY money on the table. THEY WANT IT ALL!

The teams giving up home games have crappie sales at their home stadium. London games make more money than ones in the US. Plus you promote the product without giving up your premier games.

  5. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

They're not leaving money on the table. They're generating new money by cultivating additional fans in regions that currently don't have an NFL team. How many fans do you think reside in the UK that subscribe to "NFL Game Pass" (a product of the NFL's own network, by the way).

New market? The NFL already tried to put a football league in Europe. It failed miserably. They don't like American football or baseball. They don't like,, go for do a play,,, stop,,, wait,,, do another play. They like their sports to go non stop. Like soccer, basketball, hockey, even rugby. It didn't work then and it won't work now.

Browns offensive lineman Chris Hubbard has not played since the season opener. The Browns did not place Hubbard on injured reserve, hoping for his triceps to heal on its own.

But Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports Hubbard will have season-ending surgery.

Hubbard played 39 offensive snaps in the season opener after taking over for Jedrick Wills, who left with an ankle injury. Wills has started every game this season, but he has yet to play every snap in a game.

The Browns have used Blake Hance and James Hudson III to fill in.

The team will miss Hubbard, a swing tackle who also can play guard.

Hubbard, who is in his fourth season with the Browns, has started 34 games for the team. He has 48 starts in his career.

Hubbard is in the final year of his contract.

Would you pay to watch a bunch of d list players?

I didn't know this for a fact, but as someone who's been to at least a dozen of those games over the years, i find it totally believable. In fact there was a time where i would look at the 2/3/4 games scheduled and try to aim for the least shitty matchup, which was not easy. I actually make far less effort to get to these games now and will continue that way. Im just sick of paying thru the nose to watch crappy teams.

I mean look at this week's game, 2 of the 4 shittiest teams in the league. And the NFL has been doing that for years. Its policy, just not one they've ever made public.

Are these the only 2 teams to never play in London? Im pretty certain the Packers have never played there.

This is it. And im sorry to say this approach by the NFL has largely worked. Old timers like me really resent the approach, but the new generation of fans(who are the real target anyway and whom there are A LOT of now) don't care. Its no coincidence that the franchise that has arguably struggled most in the NFL to establish itself and maintain that level most other teams just take for granted, is the team the NFL, for the better part of the last decade, has been making a concerted push to establish as London's unofficial "home team".

I don't recall the Browns ever playing in London either. Which is quite surprising as they were a really shitty team for years on end.

Patriots down four starting offensive linemen, call up three from practice squad

The Patriots’ offensive line may be a mess tomorrow in Houston.

New England is down both starting guards and both starting tackles: Shaq Mason had already been ruled out, Trent Brown was placed on injured reserve and Isaiah Wynn and Mike Onwenu remain on the COVID-19 list, according to Field Yates of ESPN.

The Patriots elevated offensive linemen James Ferentz, Alex Redmond and Will Sherman from the practice squad, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN.

That could make for a long day for rookie quarterback Mac Jones, although it’s a good week to draw a bad opponent: New England is still an eight-point favorite.

George Kittle on injured reserve, out at least three weeks

The 49ers’ offense has suffered a big loss.

All-Pro tight end George Kittle is being placed on injured reserve and will have to miss at least three weeks.

Kittle had been listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game with a calf injury, but the 49ers ultimately decided that they’d rather give Kittle time to get healthy now and hope he’s 100 percent down the stretch.

Kittle is second on the 49ers with 19 catches and 227 receiving yards, and they’ll miss him in their passing game, especially with rookie quarterback Trey Lance set to make his debut as a starter.

Joey Bosa fined $28,917 for unsportsmanlike conduct toward officials

Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa was unhappy with the officials on Monday night. He may be even more unhappy with the league office now.

Bosa was fined $28,917 for unsportsmanlike conduct toward the officials when he yelled at them on the field after he felt they missed a holding penalty that should have been called on the Raiders.

Bosa also fumed about the officials after the game, calling them “really pathetic,” but Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the $28,917 fine was solely for the on-field confrontation and it’s not clear if he was fined an additional amount for his postgame comments.

After not flagging the holding penalty, the officials did flag Bosa for his unsportsmanlike conduct.

NEW YORK JETS (1-3) vs. ATLANTA (1-3)

Sunday, 9:30 a.m. EDT, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, NFL Network

OPENING LINE: Atlanta by 3, according to FanDuel SportsBook.

AGAINST THE SPREAD: Jets 1-3, Falcons 1-3.

    SERIES RECORD: Atlanta leads 7-5.

LAST MEETING: Falcons beat Jets 25-20, Oct. 29, 2017 at East Rutherford, N.J.

LAST WEEK: Jets beat Titans 27-24 in OT; Falcons lost to Washington 34-30.

JETS OFFENSE: OVERALL (29), RUSH (29), PASS (28), SCORING (32).

JETS DEFENSE: OVERALL (13), RUSH (22), PASS (12), SCORING (14).

FALCONS OFFENSE: OVERALL (24), RUSH (25), PASS (20), SCORING (25).

FALCONS DEFENSE: OVERALL (23), RUSH (18), PASS (21), SCORING (32).

TURNOVER DIFFERENTIAL: Jets minus-6; Falcons minus-2.

JETS PLAYER TO WATCH: Zach Wilson. The rookie quarterback is coming off his best all-around game as a pro, going 21 of 34 for 297 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, which came when a receiver slipped on a route. Wilson got off to a rough start in the Jets' first three games, but certainly showed flashes last Sunday of why he was the No. 2 overall draft pick. His 53-yard touchdown pass to Corey Davis made all the highlight reels as he scrambled to his right, pointed and waved for Davis to go deep – and then hit him in stride. It was a coming out party for Wilson, who can really start feeling good about himself if he can build on that performance.

FALCONS PLAYER TO WATCH: Kyle Pitts. The Falcons will be limited at wide receiver with Calvin Ridley held out due to a personal matter and Russell Gage sidelined with an ankle injury. The shortage at wide receiver opens the way for Pitts, the rookie tight end who was the No. 4 overall selection in the NFL draft, to receive more targets. Pitts has 15 catches for 189 yards and no touchdowns. His 26 targets are second on the team to Ridley.

KEY MATCHUP: Jets WR Davis vs. Falcons secondary. Davis has an opportunity to show off in front of Falcons coach Arthur Smith, his former Titans offensive coordinator. Davis has three of the Jets' four TD catches. The Falcons' already vulnerable secondary just lost nickel back Isaiah Oliver to a season-ending knee injury and also could be without starting safety Erik Harris, who has a calf injury.

KEY INJURIES: Jets rookies WR Elijah Moore and CB Brandin Echols are expected to return after missing last week with concussions. S Marcus Maye remains sidelined with an ankle injury. Rookie LB Hamsah Nasirildeen, who has started two games, was placed on IR with an undisclosed injury. ... Falcons WR Russell Gage has missed two games with an ankle injury. Harris and DT Marlon Davidson (ankle) are trying to return from injuries. CB Kendall Sheffield (undisclosed) and LG Josh Andrews (hand) were expected to make the trip and could come off injured reserve.

I havnt seen a lop-sided game like this in a long time. The Jets look terrible on both sides of the ball.

Falcons lead 17-0 and just picked Zack.
