Per Matt Nagy Fields is QB1 moving forward.

I just wonder if he decided that or he was told.

    happy happy joy joy

Did he fire himself (twice) as playcaller, or he was told to? I'm betting the latter for the playcaller and for the starting QB.

I swear to god, wasn't it just a day or two ago that Nagy reiterated that Dalton was the #1 if healthy? Just be unclear if that's the Belichek smoke and mirrors you want to play instead of whatever the fuck this is.

    Exactly.

This is just Nagy trying to be too smart again, same way he tries to be too smart on gameday and it blows up in his face. Idiot.

If you ask him his ego will say he decided. Just like all the Lazor play calls go through him. It's still all on and about him.
Someone surely influenced him. I doubt it was the ownership because they've always been hands-off when it comes to football decisions not by design but by Stupidity. No matter what pie in the sky shit Lazor could have told him about what he could do with the kid, it certainly wouldn't override his massive ego.
I think it was Pace that stepped in and threw all his chips in the pot. This is his wonderboy QB, and he's seen what a competent play caller can do for him albeit against the Loins. He's throwing up a hail mary to save his job with wonderboy in spite of assembling the offensive line with nothing more than crack whores as an afterthought.

So we all know at this point that Nagy doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt. Can’t believe he saw the light, more so had Pace/sweaty Teddy beat him till he saw the light/stars.

it’s all his ego. He thinks he can win with any an on any plan and when it doesn’t work he cops out behind 1 guy out of 11 on the field being imperfect or the Qb being the problem, especially when Mitch/Foles made garbage decisions and Chase Daniels being the limited an he always has been.

I hope he’s on final notice. No word if he got extended and this is year 4/4 of his initial deal. Maybe I’m giving the bears too much credit to give themselves the out of walking away from the biggest moron in the room.

Any system that requires perfect play out of 11 guys every down is not much of a system. I mean, objectively looking at this, this isn't an offense that is middle of the pack or something that shows spurts of life, this is one of the WORST offenses in the league over the last 3 years. Just because it works in KC with the obscene talent level there, doesn't mean it's going to work somewhere else where the talent is different. You think Andy Reid would pull this crap on the Bears?

Hoge and Jahns went on an apology tour in the last pod I listened to, saying Nagy was a good HC, if maybe he would just let someone else call plays. But this arrogance, and as tuna points out, he says it all goes through him, this arrogance is what makes him NOT a good HC. Adapt to the players you have, not the players you wish you had. Realize that you have no clue how to call a game in rhythm.

I'm beyond done with this clown.

How about adding control to the players you have? Or would this cut against the grain of his "BeYou" mentality? Maybe if Eddie Jackson would get his head in the damn game instead of his next verbal barb he would be more effective. Why can't he pull him on the side and say "Listen Pinhead, show me more skill and less mouth"

I know this kid still has a long way to go. But this throw right here is sick...

    That throw was amazing!

I hope he continues to develop and doesn't get injured because of that asshat Nagy.

I question how Robinson even caught it, but I also question why Fields even threw it.
    I won't question the result.
