Tom Brady didn’t have a touchdown pass. And he didn’t necessarily have a signature moment in a game where he became the league’s all-time leading passer.

But in one of the biggest regular-season games of all time, Brady’s team came away victorious.

The Buccaneers beat the Patriots 19-17 on Sunday Night Football, holding on for a victory that makes them 3-1 on the season.

In a game with limited scoring, there were four lead changes in the fourth quarter and nearly a fifth. With 59 seconds left in the contest, Patriots kicker Nick Folk sent a 56-yard field goal attempt off the left upright.

Head coach Bill Belichick had to make the decision to either kick or go for it on fourth-and-3 after linebacker Lavonte David batted down Mac Jones’ third-down pass to receiver Jakobi Meyers over the middle.

But Belichick elected to trust the kicker rather than his rookie quarterback and the rest of New England’s offense.

Even if Folk had made the kick, the Buccaneers would’ve had plenty of time for Brady to get the offense in field-goal range.

But all of that is moot, as Ryan Succop hit a 48-yard field goal with 1:57 left to give Tampa Bay its winning two-point margin. On the previous two plays, Brady nearly hit Antonio Brown for a deep touchdown pass. The ball went off Brown’s hands on third-and-8, which led to the field goal.

Brady ended the game 22-of-43 passing for 269 yards. He became the league’s all-time leading passer with a 28-yard toss to receiver Mike Evans in the first quarter. Evans led the way with seven catches for 75 yards. Running back Leonard Fournette had 91 yards on 20 carries and Ronald Jones had 25 yards on six attempts with the Bucs’ only touchdown.

Jones played a decent game for the Patriots, going 31-of-40 for 275 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. At one point, he completed 19 consecutive passes. But it ultimately wasn’t enough, as New England went 2-of-9 on third down.

The Patriots also could not run the ball at all, finishing the game with -1 yards rushing. That set a Buccaneers franchise record for fewest rushing yards allowed in a single game.

At 3-1, Tampa Bay will face Miami at home in Week Five.

The 1-3 Patriots will take on the 1-3 Texans on the road next Sunday.

Justin Herbert threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns as the Los Angeles Chargers knocked the Las Vegas Raiders from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 28-14 victory on Monday night.

The Arizona Cardinals are now the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL. Just like everyone expected, right?

Bears running back David Montgomery had to exit Sunday’s victory over the Lions early, and it looks like he’ll be out for a while.

According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, Montgomery will be out for the next four to five weeks with a knee sprain.

Without posting a bunch of headlines, Urban Meyer is an asshole and I bet he's gone soon.

Just google Urban Meyer and you will get the down low on his Columbus exploits after the Bengals game last weekend. The short version, he left Cincy and went to Columbus to meet up with some buddies, who took him to a restaurant and (wait for the shock) someone had a phone and video taped him getting a lap dance from a "random patron" while there... It's now on the web and he had some explaining as to why he is out partying the day of a loss to the Bengals.

Apparently she does care. It sounds like his family was coming down as hard on him as the team did...

Here's the thing. They are throwing around moral clause and firing and everything else. THIS ISN'T A SEX TAPE. Would I want my coach to be in this situation, HELL no.. It's more about responsibility than the content of the tape. If he is fired due to the moral clause, it will be based on his performance and their ability to correct a bad hiring, it isn't about the "act" on the tape. He was just sitting there and a girl is dancing very near him. His hands are between his legs (not like some of you dirty minds might think), I don't see any contact, but I suppose it could have happened. He is watching her dance and enjoying it, but damn... That's being a little hypocritical for at least 95% of the male population. I am happily married and would never cheat on my wife, but this is not that.

All that said, I would be upset if it were Stephanski, not going to lie.

(Edit) I just saw another version and there was definite contact. Still not "cheating" bad... but damn close. It seemed like he was a kid at a strip club, not knowing whether he was allowed to touch or not. Freaking IDIOT for being in public and being that stupid. Who in their right mind would not expect SOMEONE to be taking pictures or video of someone of that celebrity stature in a bar. Especially while this was going on. Maybe the "I'm having mental issues" excuse was way over used and this is his way of getting out of this coaching gig.

Cowboys announce release of Jaylon Smith

The Cowboys announced their decision to cut veteran linebacker Jaylon Smith.

According to the official team website, the Cowboys are releasing Smith after exploring trade possibilities.

“The move doesn’t save the Cowboys anything on this year’s salary cap since his salary was guaranteed but potentially saves them from a guaranteed salary in 2022 if he were injured,” Nick Eatman wrote on the team website in explaining the move.

The Cowboys owe Smith the remainder of his $7.2 million base salary this year. His contract was guaranteed for injury for 2022 when he was scheduled to make $9.2 million in base salary and count $11.8 million against the salary cap.

Smith signed a five-year, $64 million extension in August 2019.

Even though he led the team in tackles last season, Smith faced criticism and questions about his future after the Cowboys allowed the most points in franchise history. He kept his spot on the roster out of training camp despite the additions of veteran Keanu Neal and rookie draft choices Micah Parsons and Jabril Cox.

But his role was reduced as Smith played 56 percent of the defensive snaps, including 40 percent or fewer in two of four games.

I'm glad you added the edit. We can clearly see him grabbing her ass. And I'm a little disturbed you tried defending the first video, before the edit. Anyone trying to excuse this away is... Well, hell, even Urban Meyer isn't doing that.

First, if you're out in a public place, no one else is "all up in your business". You're in a crowded bar full of people. Whatever business you have there is not your own. Stay home if you want your infidelity to be private.

Second, the guy knew people were taking pictures - that's why he was there! He was having people hanging out and taking pictures with him all night. You can't be upset at people taking pictures of you when you're doing bad stuff, but invite it just minutes before.

The fun part was the way Urban handled it: by blaming it on his family, as usual. "I went out to see my grandkids, and I just stayed out when I shouldn't have". Yeah, Urban - it's your grandkids that dragged you to that college bar. Damn kids.

Let me ask you all this - how would your significant other feel, if you did the same? Be honest.

And lastly - why is anyone shocked? This is who Urban Meyer is (despite his insistence). The guy spent his whole career getting away with whatever he wanted to, and then running when things got hot. Now he's in a professional environment where he doesn't call the shots, and things are going badly. He's a bad person. He keeps showing us this, time and time again, and there are some people who don't want to see it because their team won football games while he was there... I feel sorry for his players - they have to deal with this, and it's not their fault their coach is a moron.

    Patriots cut Stephon Gilmore

Stephon Gilmore is about to hit free agency.

The Patriots have decided to cut Gilmore, who has been unhappy with his contract and has spent this season on the physically unable to perform list, Gilmore revealed on social media.

Although it was well known that the Patriots and Gilmore were far apart in contract talks, the decision to release him now comes as a complete surprise.

It’s unclear how soon Gilmore will be able to play after a quadriceps injury has sidelined him so far this season, but suffice to say that when he’s healthy, he’ll be a very attractive option for multiple NFL teams. Gilmore will likely want to play for a contender, and the Buccaneers are a team that have an obvious need at cornerback. Bucs coach Bruce Arians has stated that Tom Brady makes Tampa Bay an attractive free agent destination for veteran players, and Gilmore would surely have interest in joining his old teammate.

Gilmore, who will turn 32 this month, was the NFL’s defensive player of the year in 2019.

Urban Meyer obviously isn't a great person. Clearly not a good husband.

But I really don't care that he rubs girls butts in a bar. I've done that too. So have a lot of you here, I'm sure.

The only part of this story that actually bothers me is him not traveling with the team after a game.

My short answer to this is.. I don't give a fuck what disturbs you. That's a you issue, not a me issue.

If you weren't just trying to pick a fight, you would understand the initial video (which I thought was ALL the video captured at the time), was not worthy of firing someone. Since you already stated that you are "glad" (and I'm glad you are glad) I edited, then it shows the troll tendencies in the post and that you are only here to pick a fight...

Not fighting, just pointing it out, since you felt the need to do so as well.

Now, I can admit when agree with you as well..

Anyone that puts themself into a public figure profession, whether it is politics, entertainment, or even social media are subject to the no privacy in public mandate. It's part of the trade off. Once you go public with yourself, when in public, you are free game. You don't need to make more money than every other person with an important job, but you choose to do it knowing fully what goes along with it.

Didn't you hear, he was just going to visit his grandkids... It's everyone else' fault that this happened.
