Fields also had a pretty good throw, catch, and gain called back for a pretty crappy OPI call. And had his receivers drop some pretty darn good throws including a dime that should have been a highlight touchdown.

He looked nervous and made some mistakes but I'm excited to see him start after practicing with the starters all week. This kid will take some lumps and make some errors but the tools are there to be pretty darn good.

Apparently, the Titans need to prepare for three different quarterbacks.

According to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero, Colts practice squad QB Brett Hundley took the majority of starter reps in Wednesday’s practice. If starter Carson Wentz is not able to play due to his two sprained ankles, then both Hundley and Jacob Eason could both see time against Tennessee on Sunday.

To steal from Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Baltimore Ravens fans can seemingly R-E-L-A-X heading into Sunday's game at the Detroit Lions.

Baltimore star starting signal-caller Lamar Jackson missed practice on Thursday, and most assumed his absence was linked with the "sore" hip he was dealing with following his entertaining flip into the end zone in the fourth quarter of the Week 2 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. However, it was later said the 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player was merely dealing with a stomach issue and should be good to go for the weekend:

ESPN's Jamison Hensley now reports Jackson is "all fine" for the showdown with Detroit.

Jackson admitted Wednesday he was "kind of sore" from the flip against Kansas City but initially didn't want head coach John Harbaugh to know because Harbaugh may prevent his quarterback and others from executing similar unnecessary moves in future games. Even if Jackson's hip is 100% today or by Sunday afternoon, his stuntman-like performances during contests may have come to an end.

Detroit, meanwhile, opened the season with losses to the San Francisco 49ers and Packers.

Matt Nagy: We’re seeing new things from Justin Fields now that he’s getting first-string reps

Bears fans are getting their wish this week, with rookie quarterback Justin Fields starting in place of the injured Andy Dalton. And Bears coach Matt Nagy says Fields is already showing he looks the part of a first-string quarterback.

Nagy said Fields is learning each day as he takes control of the starting offense in practice, but he also said he’s learning more about Fields by seeing the way he grows while getting all the first-string reps.

“We’re learning, too,” Nagy said. “This week, with him getting all the reps in practice, there’s things that we’re seeing that maybe we didn’t see in the first two weeks because he wasn’t getting those one reps.”

That raises the question, of course, of whether Fields should have been the starting quarterback all along. Nagy indicated that he wanted Fields to learn from the sideline while Dalton played, but now that Fields is playing anyway because Dalton is hurt, it might have served Fields well to be running the first-string offense from Day One.

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will miss at least the next three games after being placed on injured reserve today.

Although Dolphins coach Brian Flores said this week that Tagovailoa’s injured ribs were getting better, the team placed him on injured reserve today, according to multiple reports. By rule, players have to stay on injured reserve for at least three weeks.

Colts plan to start QB Carson Wentz (ankles) vs. Titans

A week of consistent rehab has paid off for Carson Wentz.

The Indianapolis Colts are planning to start Wentz, who has been recovering from a pair of sprained ankles he sustained in Week 2, on Sunday against the Titans, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday night.

The veteran quarterback was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report after returning to practice that same day.

Wentz has experienced no setbacks and is expected to give it a go. Wentz has spent the week pushing to play, saying on Wednesday that he was "throwing the kitchen sink" at his treatment. Apparently, that method did the trick. But, in the event that it didn't, the Colts have backup plans.

Matt Nagy: Andy Dalton, Justin Fields, Nick Foles all under consideration to start this week

Bears coach Matt Nagy doesn’t know yet who his starting quarterback will be on Sunday against the Lions.

Nagy said today that Andy Dalton is still recovering from his knee injury, Justin Fields is shaking off a hand injury and only Nick Foles is fully healthy, so the Bears will have to see how the week goes before deciding who starts Sunday.

“They’re all three under consideration right now,” Nagy said. “We know where Nick’s at health-wise, but we just want to keep an eye on Justin and Andy.”

Nagy said Fields’ X-rays were negative on his hand, while Dalton is still considered week-to-week with his knee injury. It would seem at the moment that Fields is the most likely to start, but the Bears simply don’t know yet which quarterback will be on the field against the Lions.

What Nagy does know is that his offense needs to look a whole lot better than it did on Sunday against the Browns, or else soon it will be some other coach deciding who the starting quarterback is.

Andy Dalton, Justin Fields are expected to practice Wednesday; Dalton remains QB1

Bears head coach Matt Nagy said on Monday that all three of their quarterbacks were under consideration to start against the Lions in Week Four and he said Wednesday that no decisions have been made at this point.

Andy Dalton missed last Sunday’s loss to the Browns with a knee injury and Justin Fields dinged his hand near the end of the game, which created the possibility that Nick Foles might become the next man up in Chicago. Nagy said that Dalton and Fields are both expected to take part in practice on Wednesday and that the depth chart remains unchanged as long as everyone is healthy.

“We expect both Andy and Justin in some capacity at practice today . . . In regards to the depth chart with them, Andy is the 1, Justin’s the 2, Nick is the 3,” Nagy said, via Field Yates of ESPN.com.

The level of practice participation for both players will provide some hint about who will get the call on Sunday and the Bears need whoever runs the offense to bring the unit to a higher plane to have a strong chance at winning.

After the Browns game we know fields is closer to a bust than a NFL starting QB. Ohio State just doesn’t produce good QBs. Neither does Alabama.

I disagree. Fields and Mac are legit... there are more issues surrounding them on their respective teams than the QB position.

Lamar Jackson misses practice with back injury

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has a sore hip and a stomach illness last week, neither of which kept him from playing on Sunday in Detroit. Jackson now has a back injury, one which has kept him from practicing on Wednesday.

According to the team’s injury report, Jackson didn’t practice at all today due to the ailment that didn’t seem to affect him during the Week Three win over the Lions. It remains to be seen when and if he’s able to practice this week.

In all, eight Ravens didn’t practice on Wednesday: OT Ronnie Stanley (ankle), OT Alejandro Villanueva (knee), DE Derek Wolfe (back/hip), LB Pernell McPhee (shoulder), S DeShon Elliott (quad), WR Sammy Watkins (rest), and CB Tavon Young (no designation, yet).

He's pretty much been the Ravens offense, I'm sure it's precautionary just to keep him healthy enough for gameday.
