    Justin Fields starting debut:
    30 dropbacks
    4 using pre-snap motion
    2 using max protection
    2 designed rollouts
    2 designed QB runs

Fields is not a WC QB. Yet Nagy tried to use him as one. And apparently theres a sideline video of Fields fussing with Nagy a little bit and I have yet to see it.

I don't really have the stomach to say much else. Everyone saw the game. That was an embarrassment.

Sean Desai proved to me he can coach. He is trying to hide his units weaknesses and emphasize their strengths. Robert Quinn is showing up in the boxscore even if he still has bonehead plays. Blackson looks like a good find. Mario Edwards came back strong. Why can't Pace be as good at building the trench on offense like he can on defense? Jaylong Johnson is legit. Ejax can blow me. No defense should be expected to have to perform to the level the Bears needed to perform to yesterday. Of course they wore down, of course they gave up yards and points. They gave you two early 4th down stops and a pretty good first half effort. You gave them dogshit.

It baffles me that George McCaskey think Matt Nagy should still have a job. Just baffles me. What else do you need to see?

Firing Ryan Pace right now has almost no impact on the rest of the season. Firing Matt Nagy does.

If I'm in charge I fire Pace...promote Lazor...and ask him to install Tom Herman as OC and playcaller immediately. Let Lazor dictate the overall feel and philosophy but give Herman a crack at calling plays that put Fields in position to succeed. That's what I would do.

Nagy is past getting picked on by local beat reporters and national TV analysts. The entire league is openly questioning him. And Georgie just sits there with sweaty Teddy under his desk.

Can't agree with this more. He won't change because he believes the problem is the players and not the system.

Matt Nagy's 10am monday morning presser is currently 42 minutes behind, hasn't come out yet.

He won't be fired but little details like that give me hope. Hope that will quickly be washed away with coach speak and the usual crap.

    Good heads up.

"We've gotta get the vibe back". Okay, Nagy. That's what was lacking, the vibe.

Nagy says he consults multiple people. I assume his wife and his daughter are those people. Because football people aren't going to be kind.

Had to tune out for a work meeting. Probably for the best.

Of course. Because the QB is the issue.

Re: the third and short pitch left, Nagy said that Fields does not have the ability to adjust / kill out of that, and that they planned for that defensive look. The "defense just made a play". "You want to convert that rather than going to fourth and short". It was a loss, you dumb fuck.

That was a god awful playcall. Just brutally bad.

It really was. The fact that he's not only good with the playcall, but good with what the defense showed pre-snap... Don't be you, Nagy. Stop being you. Because you is fucking awful.

No words about relinquishing playcalling, etc. Just him continually shirking responsibility, and talking about learning. Cool, cool. Burn the place down. Torch it.

It's just further proof that Nagy's values his own ego...his own offense...over anything else.

Four years later in spite of all the failures he still thinks he can call his play and somehow it should just work.

    Same old shit.

What's the point of it? He hasn't been fired, he's not giving up playcalling but "its on the table"--which means fucking nothing, and oooh--Foles, Gingervitis, or Fields could start Sunday against the Lions!

I'm rooting for Marc Trestman levels of indifference from players and fans. Its year 4, and I don't know what Matt Nagy's offense is supposed to be. I don't know what I'm supposed to be watching for. I don't know how to discern when things go right, but I sure as shit know when it doesn't, because that's Matt Nagy's tenure in a nutshell. Fuck, the Lions don't have a pass rush and I guess that "letting them be the lions" is the only fathomable game plan I can see to win this Sunday.

I get Georgie is too classy to fire someone mid-season, but Nagy's doing his best audition for being a franchise first.

    Fire everyone.

It's as if the objective is to destroy any confidence Fields has. Yeah bench the rookie for the third string QB after 1 start because yesterday was all his fault.
