Bears v Browns Game Thread

Like those Browns helmets with the numbers on.

 

Lovely play Bush. Immediate Gipson upgrade.

 

Browns running empty sets on at least half their plays so far. Clearly isolating the Bears' worst personnel group, and attacking it. Good news is they're working against their strength of the run, bad news is that the run is the only thing our defense does well.

 

Defense was pretty crappy on third down last week too.

Quinn has already surpassed his 2020 output in 2+ games in 2021.

 

Gotten lucky with a couple Mayfield misses so far. Quinn came completely unblocked - almost blew the tackle, but Blackson there for the finish.

Good first drive defensively.

 

Those Quinn sightings are getting less rare.

That was a shocking miss by Mayfield the play before. A good QB cashes that for 6.

 

I'm still not sold on Mayfield.

I don't like leaving Fields without an extra blocker. Not a fan of the empty sets.

How many times has a stupid cute play call like that killed drives even going back to 2018?

 

So you have a stack formation left bringing DBs down to the line on 3 & 2 and then try a toss play left where all the defenders are. You fucking asshat Nagy.

 

You know the old axiom: "Run into the defense's strong side, but only if you put a bunch of people in motion and rely on WR's to block everything".
