That was a painful loss to the Eagles, just like when the Vikings loss to the Falcons now that was a very very very painful loss I was so sure SB here come

Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter has not been taking part in voluntary work with the Vikings the last two weeks and head coach Mike Zimmer said Wednesday that he doesn’t know what Hunter’s plans are for their upcoming mandatory minicamp. Talk of Hunter’s desire for a new contract that would make him the highest-paid defensive player in the league has been going on since last year and he missed a $100,000 workout bonus this offseason by choosing not to participate in the offseason program. Zimmer said on Wednesday that he hasn’t spoken to Hunter about his absence or what’s next. “We’ll just see when the minicamp shows up,” Zimmer said. Hunter had 29 sacks over the 2018 and 2019 seasons, but missed last season with a neck injury and is under contract through 2023. That and a smaller salary cap may make it hard to convince the Vikings to address his deal before Hunter has to decide about foregoing even more money via fines for missing mandatory work. NBC
oh no I hope this doesn't turnout to be another soapbox drama, and the run first gameplan is maddening
He’s got 3 years left on his contract, what’s the money? He just missed this past season with an injury. It seems like he’s had a down year and wants rewarded for it. Maybe it’s a shot contract, I don’t know the details.
Danielle Hunter signed a 5yrs extension on June 28 2018 worth 72 million and 40 million guarantee including a 15 million signing bonus but it jumped up to 16.907 million fully guaranteed at signing? but he wants to be the highest paid DE in the NFL or one of the top paid DE in my humble opinion PAY THE MAN and oh please not another soapbox drama
Does he realize that when you miss a whole season because of injury that you have to prove yourself before you demand a pay raise in the middle of a contract.
Vikings sign Tye Smith The Vikings announced an addition to their secondary on Thursday. Cornerback Tye Smith has agreed to a contract with the team. No terms of the deal were announced. Smith was a 2015 fifth-round pick of the Seahawks who played four games in Seattle as a rookie and got cut the next year. He spent some time with Washington before moving on to the Titans in 2017. He played in 36 games for Tennessee over the last three seasons and recorded 61 tackles, an interception, and two forced fumbles. Smith joins Patrick Peterson, Mackensie Alexander, and Parry Nickerson as free agent signings at cornerback this offseason. Cameron Dantzler, Harrison Hand, and Jeff Gladney return from last season, although Gladney’s availability may be compromised by an assault charge from an April incident in Texas. NBC
Im not a contract guy , to say the least, but the NFL is a , 'what have you done for me lately' League. When healthy, tho, Hunter is great and already makes big bucks, but in my opinion, hasnt quite proven he is or deserves the #1, highest paid DE in the game. Im old-school myself... you earn things.
maybe it's just me and my imagination running wild here, that he no longer wants to a Vikings and he's hoping to get traded I hope that's not the case cause it would mean a Big Time loss for D-line
wow Capt Kirk gets no respect Matthew Stafford is ranked higher than Capt Kirk? until they win a SB they will NEVER git any respect
Vikings G Wyatt Davis named a rookie to watch after OTAs Minnesota has some interesting training camp battles to watch for 2021, one of the more interesting of which will be at guard. The Vikings have a rookie in Wyatt Davis, who could very well be one of the team’s starting guards for next season, so it makes sense that Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report is listing him as a rookie to watch after OTAs: “[Christian] Darrisaw will take over at left tackle after the team chose him with this year’s 23rd overall pick. Wyatt Davis has more of an uphill climb to claim the right guard spot, but he’s the most logical option to claim the starting role. But the Vikings coaching staff plans to work both with the second- and third-team offenses for now.” Ezra Cleveland played right guard last season, but has moved over to the left side this offseason. So Davis will compete with Dakota Dozier and Mason Cole for the starting spot opposite Cleveland. That should be fun to watch in training camp. Vikingswire
sounds real good maybe some muscle and a little meanness, but why is Dakota Doizer still around? after last season he was terrible do you think he will make the team or will he be just a camp body for training camp
Well... looks like its all up for grabs between Dozier, Davis and Cole. I really cant project whats going to happen, but I sure dig the competition. I think we will get the most out of these guys and may that dammm line stay healthy. Nice to have depth.
Vikings sign Amari Henderson The Vikings have added another cornerback to the roster. The team announced the signing of Amari Henderson on Tuesday. The move comes less than a week after the team signed Bashaud Breeland, but has been in the works for a while. Henderson tried out at the Vikings’ rookie minicamp and the team moved to sign him at that point, but the deal didn’t get done because Henderson was with his family after the death of his brother. He was undrafted out of Wake Forest in 2020 and signed with the Jaguars. He spent time on their practice squad during the regular season. Cornerbacks Patrick Peterson, Parry Nickerson, Tye Smith, and Mackensie Alexander also signed with the team this offseason. NBC
can any of these guys play Safety? I'm starting to wonder how many cornerbacks does Zimmer need man i wonder if Harrison Hand can play Safety?
