Steelers Draft and Mel Kiper sucks thread!!

I was happy with the draft until round 7. A cb with stiff hips and Percy Hrvind little brother the punter. Both rated as UDFA’s . WTF.

 

Round 7 two WTF picks . Both are graded UDFA

 

I like the punter

 

Couldn't catch either

 

Kind of like when they wasted a pick on a long snapper a few years ago

Harvin averaged 48 yards a punt his last season. That’s better than Ray Guy. I think that can make a big difference in field position for a defensive team like us that is a great thing. Plus he has a good arm for the fake punt.

 

Point being even if he becomes a hall of fame punter.

 

Field position is a big deal for a team that plays defense like we do.

 

More like a slightly upgraded Jesse James. Honestly would’ve preferred Tremble, but he didn’t make it to 87, so it’s better than another 6th/7th rounder at TE. I’m ok with the punter, end of the 7th round and now they don’t have to compete to sign the punter they wanted. Not much difference in value between an UDFA and those late 7th round picks

 

Honestly, can't stand the NFL Network broadcast either. Better to watch with sound off. Good to see everyone, BTW.

 

Not happy that you got Harris - I just can't root against him, he's too good of a guy.

 

And the Ravens are the opposite. Weird.

 

Covid season, very few out of conference games as measuring sticks, schools not playing a full season or at all.

Steelers Depot credits Mel KIPER with over 40 years of covering the draft. They accept his C+ grade? Listen if he was worth a fuck he’s be in a war room. He’s a tv personally that’s bought and paid for. I don’t care how many books he sold they’re all fire starters.
Quincy Roche they got real value in round 6.

Why is the media so down on the Steelers draft. We drafted our two most needed positions with our first two picks and strengthened every position that needed it. We even got a punter that can flip the field every time he steps on it.
